He's close. The only reason he still refs, is because he has been doing it for so long, and is under long-term contract with the NHL.... The younger guys comin in now are even worse... Auger is the worst. i personally think he is the worst ref in the recent generation of the sport, and I don't understand how he still has a job

Auger is pretty terrible. The problem with referees like Fraser and Auger is that they don't let the players decide things on the ice. The referee should rarely be noticed but these two make the games about them.
