I simply can't stand the condescending nature of this brimstone sermon. "contain YOUR lust, may God have mercy on YOUR souls." Last time I checked Albert Martin wasn't excluded from the human condition. I'd respect him more if the message was more like, " WE must contain OUR lust, may God have mercy on OUR souls"
@MrSocialandPolitical If you understood the serious nature of his sermon, the last thing on your mind would be whether or not another man is attacking your character or integrity. You're missing the whole purpose of the sermon.
@jumper86 I do understand the nature of what he is saying and I get the point. Which is why i believe sermons like this should also contain the speaker in the context due to the fact it comes off as arrogant. Jesus himself spoke out against arrogance.
Hi, Can anyone here tell me of any particular software that can be used to acheive this kinda presentations.... Its a beautiful and very sleek video....!
@OrthElCid not true at all....faith without works is dead according to james and 1john is very clear that those who don't obey god are of the devil. Believing is the will of God of course, but the bible says that many things are the will of God. you have to look at the context of the passages...mathew 7 not everyone who says lord lord shall enter...He will say depart from me for i never knew you, you who practice lawlessness! no works as produced by belief is really unbelief! He is Lord!
@OrthElCid 1Jn 3:8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 1Jn 3:9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God.
@MrSlimeFish It's interesting that you use the word "Agnostic" to describe yourself. It is derived from the Greek "Agnostos" -meaning to not know-. Why don't you use the Latin word to describe yourself? The Latin probably fits you in this situation a lot better.
@MrSlimeFish I care because God cares. Nothing more. I don't know you so I have no personal attachment to your salvation. But because Jesus cared enough for you to give is followers a commission to preach, teach, and baptize, I care.
Funny you use the Greek "agnostic" to describe yourself and not the Latin though...
@MrSlimeFish God has laid down His law starting with the 10 Commandments. Have you kept any one of those since you were a kid? That is what I mean by "good enough".
Respond to this video...The reason someone doesn't believe in a "Just" God is because they don't want to feel as though they'll be judged in the end. Just because you do not believe in God does not mean He isn't there.
Are you "good" enough to enter Heaven MrSlimefish? Have you ever told a lie? Easy question right? I'm talking from a kid to now. If you have, you are tainted and will diminish His holiness. God will not allow that, therefore, Hell is what you deserve.
@MrSlimeFish You are correct. They get watered-down over the years. Stick with the King James. It's higher English and written at a fifth-grade level.
God is never changing. People change. To see a wrathful God is to witness people turned from Him so much that it took great correction to bring them back into line. Now He has delivered unto us a savior in which it is now our sole responsibility to accept.
Don't rely too much on the other translations. They are not textus receptus.
@MrSlimeFish That's too bad. Have fun throwing-up! When a person knows right and wrong but continues to do wrong punishment is necessary. Romans 1 tells of how all the other religions and cultures were able to turn from Him.
@MrSlimeFish WOW! Talk about judging and being on that works-based salvation...slow down! I'm on your side. Read it again. Ever have a conversation with more than one person? Notice how like-minded individuals keep a conversation going on the topic and not be sidetracked?
P.S. Don't confuse the "Judge not, lest ye be judged..." verse. Look at who he is addressing. Those without Christ.
@MrSlimeFish Because He created us in His image so that we could have fellowship through perfection. But this thing called sin got in the way. We are not fit to be in His presence now because of it.
Long story short, we now know the difference between right and wrong. Since we know right and wrong we are to be held accountable accordingly for doing wrong. Just like if you knew your job was to do something and you didn't your boss would be angry.
LORD GOD I THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR LOVE AND BLESSING AND I THANK YOU FOR YOUR MIGHTY JUDGMENTS WHICH ARE COMING,WOW THEY ARE COMING,WOW HEAR THEY COME TO YOU OH NATION WHICH THOUGHT YOU AND ONES WHO ARE WICKED AND HAVE BLATANTLY DANCED TO THERE SINS AND ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS,AND ALL WILL BEHOLD YOUR HOLINESS AND JUDGMENTS THAT ARE COMING TO THIS NATION,YES LORD I AGREE WITH YOU BRING IT DOWN AND GREATLY SO !!!!!!!!!!
@MrSlimeFish You see I would never share truth with someone like you because you do not care about HIM or anything that is apart of HIM You have been in sunday school or maybe in a church or bible study with someone at some point in your life and you have chose to throw out HIS truth to you, I say at sometime in your life because of what you do know from what you said in the comment,So I will say what HE SAID YOU WILL NOT TASTE DEATH TILL YOU SEE HIM!!!!!!!!!! OH you don;thavetopost back.
@MrSlimeFish slime, its powerful because it offers a Biblical truth with passion and since Biblical truth is the most important thing on this earth to anyone who has recieved saving grace, then therfore my comment was warranted. It may not be powerful in your world view but I am not concerned with appeasing it because it is false.
@saved4016 Its a metaphor for distancing yourself or seperating yourself from situations or lifestyles where that lust would be lived out - thats all.
@KeithTruth However, what Jesus says is true...It would be way better to lose a part of our body than being in Hell forever and ever! Some people were shown Hell in visions and NDE's, and I never, ever want to go there!
@MrSlimeFish "1Co 2:14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned."
The reason you owe Christ your life is because he is your creator, the only reason you move, act and have your being is because he sustains your life, at any moment he could end it, he payed the penalty for your wickedness and suffered the wrath of God upon himself for you.
@MrSlimeFish Sin is "missing the mark" by not following God's law. Everyone sins (Rom. 3:23) and since God punishes sin, (Rom. 6:23) Christ became a man, lived the perfect sinless life we can't live, obeying the law fully, his sacrifice on the cross satisfied God's wrath - Jesus loved us so much he took God's wrath on himself that we deserve so that if we now repent of our past sin, see that we have fallen short and believe in Christ submitting to him, we'll be saved from wrath after this life
old hat.. no oner cared or commented when I reposted this a year N a half ago..
ahh youtube is just a pile of hipocritical limelight popularity seekers N frieks
U guyz were my heroes.. now I can se your all justy losers who wouldnm't reply to an honest individual unless it had some props fer ya if yer lives depended on it.
Anonomous Truther IS THE ONLY REAL CHRISTIAN ON YOUTUBE..
I feel really crappy after watching this. To live in this day and age and not succumb to sin is impossible. You would pretty much have to isolate yourself from the world and not mix with anyone to not sin. I mean we were born into sin right? We still get tempted even after we become saved? Does God really help us when we try and fight temptation? To me it doesn't feel like it. I ask God to help me, I plead...but it still feels like I'm doing it on my own....
@necr0sys I know how you feel but the word of God says God will never forsake anyone who is his. Trials are allowed in our lives and they make us stronger and lead us to persevere and produce patience within us which leads to a more godly character. When saved, we are a new creature.I know it feels sometimes like sin is so powerful but truth is it does not have dominion over the believer, many times too saints often believe a lot of lies.I know from experience.I prayed for you.
@necr0sys A prideful and accusational statement against GOD like what you just said is most likely the reason GOD doesn't answer. Remember out of the mouth comes what is in the heart. You love your sin more than you love GOD, and you lack faith to believe HE will deliver you and you lack the will to seek HIM with your whole heart and mind, instead like you've already said in your heart, you say "It's impossible". Well YAH says it's impossible to please without faith. MANY GOD has delivered.
@necr0sys The testimony of saints is a powerful thing. If you would like to read them, please send me a pm. The salvation plan is this, YAHUVEH draws men unto HIM, YAHUSHUA/Jesus Christ saves us through HIS saving blood, RUACH ha KODESH/Holy Spirit convicts man of sin as as they seek YAH with all their heart, YAH pours out HIS annointing upon them which breaks the yokes and bondages. =Repentance. YAHUSHUA does deliver today, HE is alive and well and is working mightily. Just don't give up.
Matthew seems to be talking about the ones who may say to people they believe in Jesus only in public like false prophets or people who became pastors to flirt with the youth ect. In Matthews Jesus never said they actually did any of these miracles he only say that they will claim they have prophesied ect. Benny hinn comes to mind actually.
As well you will notice in Matthew 7 he is speaking of how one will recognize them but doesn't speak of salvation being the promise of there fruits. As well in the passage the people speaking to Jesus in the quote are not claiming they actually did any real prophesying or demon casting but the emphasis is on "in your name"
The bible speaks of how there were some who were able to cast out demons as long as they used it in Jesus name regardless of what they followed.
Keith this video seems to be preaching the false doctrine of works being necessary for salvation, in this video he is using Matthew 7:21-22 to say that one will be rejected if his works do not match his faith. Notice in the verse that it says only the ones who do the will of the father will see salvation. but we can see in john 6:40 "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him "
Messages like these in the end only lead to dispair because who of us is GOOD!!?? Messages like these make us focus on OURSELVES, what we have to DO, what have to FIND in ourselves (proof) so we can then know we are Christians and Saved. But in ourselves we can never find enough good and even trying to do do takes away our eye from Jesus on the cross. Only by believing in 100% grace we will be transformed! Jesus and His finished work is the base and proof of our salvation, nothing else!!
@GodLovesUs100 But then that evidence of your faith becomes your idol, then you start to focus on THAT: the evidence, your faith, your good works, your repentence etc. The only evidence we should cling onto is the fact that Jesus was hanging there on the cross for you. THAT is your ticket to Heaven and a changed life. Put you trust in Him that He will save you and then the good fruits will FOLLOW. When you focus on your good fruits you put your trust in the results instead of the Cause (Christ).
@menno000 Well not exactly cause even Paul told his readers to examine themselves to see if they are in the faith.I agree there certainly is a danger in trusting in your performance rather than self, and Im not saying we should always be focused on ourselves. You're right, focus on Jesus and trust in his finished work is key, but its also wise to examine our own hearts to see fruit of genuine belief. That really shouldn't take long.
@GodLovesUs100 I do understand you and I also agree but I guess it also depends on the person receiving this particular message. For people who have difficulty believing that God loves them AS THEY ARE (grace, all His work), this message may strengthen the image of a strict/angry God who wants you to be perfect. And the natural reaction to this message is then to run away from that God. Whereas when you see Christ dying on cross, your heart is changed because of the love He has for me.
@GodLovesUs100 As I re-watched the video I must say I do find it biblically correct but as said, the emphasis is too much on examining yourself, trying to be good, fighting lust, I don't hear much about "For so God loved the world...' I'm sure there are people who need a fierce message but there are also many people who need words of comfort and pure grace. In general Christians are known for talking a lot about doing good and being holy but yet their hearts are often like bricks.
@GodLovesUs100 cold hearts, like bricks, are often the result of trying to be holy. The religious people in Jesus' days were trying to be holy and look at the result. On the cross we see the result of our idle attempts: ecce homo, behold the man. I still feel that our hearts will only break because of looking at Him. Again, the video is ok but the emphasis is what I don't like. For a sinner, full aware of his guilt, this video doesn't offer much comfort. But for some people it might be needed.
@menno000 I agree with you completely. hard messages like this I would not recommend much of to any true believer, because what you said has happened with me before and it's not good to be in the place of feeling you need to do enough for God, when Jesus has already done everything.I would say a message like this is more for people who show signs of unregenerate and need a wake up call, not so much for the honest Christian who is really looking unto Christ.
Wow... too bad we do not see this kind of preaching in 99% of American churches today. The truth cuts like a knife and, well... that just would'nt keep the attendance up would it ? No, no... most would rather hear another gospel, one of health and wealth...one of a forgiving god who is not just and holy, where His wrath is never spoken of. "Come to god and have your 'best life now' ". This is idolotry, and a damning false gospel ! Thanx for posting
"If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen." 1 John 4:20
"Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him." 1 John 3:15
I need more preaching like this... We need more of Christ and less of ourselves. May we follow him alone in these times and not men. We have the Holy Spirit and need not that any man should teach us. May we follow Christ alone in repentance, crucifying our flesh every day and walking soberly, righteously and godly in this present world, with the Lord on the throne of our life. Let go of the reigns and know the Lord is there.
There is a progression. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of a relationship with Him, but as the Spirit grows in you, fear departs because the Lord does not fear Himself.
Do not be deceived that a relationship with the Lord is only fear.
@ineternitypast -it's not fear of the LOrd that drives you creeps - it's a fear of death that makes you eagerly embrace such ridiculous mythology. I'm sticking with Zeus.
as of 10-4-10 there are 14 'dislikes'?? How could ANYONE dislike this vid? This is probably the most inspiring preaching I have EVER, EVER heard. God bless Albert Martin.
Anyone who has commented negatively about anything this pastor has said may need to play the video again, because he mostly QUOTED scripture!!! How can you say he has a poor understand when he did not speak HIS opinion, but quoted the WORD OF THE MOST HIGH!!! Yes God loves us all, but he also hardens whom he hardens and if your name isn't written in the book of life (like Pharaoh) then you aren't going to get it. Few enter into the narrow gate! The truth will not be accepted by all. Sorry.
Agree 100%! However, this preacher falls short of explaining what the "will of the Father" is...
Some translations read, "away from me, you who practice LAWLESSNESS". It stands to reason that those who practice lawlessness are not doing the will of the Father, who's Law is eternal. It becomes clear that those who work deeds against or forsaking those commanded by the Father will not inherit the Kingdom.
In short we are commanded to keep the testimony of Jesus AND the Laws of His Father.
@HarvestGroup Agreed. And what is the testimony of Jesus Christ? Revelation 19:10 "For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy"
And what are God's laws? The 10 commandments (ALL 10 of them, not just 9, as the majority of Christian churches follow today) which are eternal. Christ Himself said "if you love me you will keep my commandments".
Amen and amen! It's interesting to note that the feasts of the Lord all have the Spirit of Prophecy closely attached to them as well (they are a shadow picture of the things to come when Messiah returns). They too were commanded to be kept as a reminder forever. I keep the feasts and the Sabbath and I've never felt more free!
I grew up on sermons like this, not just weekly but most every day. It is a great call to those that need to forgive themselves - the altar call of emotion and fear - but I wonder if it actually leads others to the two greatest commandments - To love the Lord thy God, and to love your neighbor? Almost all christian doctrine is based on the Roman named Saul who became Paul after conversion on his way to Damascus. From Paul we get Jesus as God - not the jewish messiah he claimed to be.
I gotta say I really think this video is very bad. This kind of attitude among Christians is a SERIOUS deterrant for people to come to God. I believe this passage in Matthew 7 is meant to give encouragement to those who worry for their non-believing friends and family, not to instill doubt and fear into those who ARE believers.
Romans 10:9 "...if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou SHALT BE SAVED."
Thanks Keith for posting this...it was convicting, but the truth is what we need to hear. I wonder when was the original recording made? You have to go back some time to hear stuff like this. I don't think we'd hear it in the mega-churches!
this is crazy. does god really hate humans that much? i deserve hell? i deserve infinite torment for finite crimes?and not even for crimes really, sonce i was born damned. i had no choice but to be a human. so, what traditional aspect of god to u abandon to attempt to justify this tyranny?he is either not all powerful or not all loving, but u cant have it both ways.
why would i follow a religion that is so cruel and heartless?(and irrational)
am i a christian or not? HELL NO(get it.HELL no ha!
@mebe84 This guy in the video understands the Bible in a superficial and unhealthy manner.
God is Love, but they who go to Hell forever will be all the ones who had rejected this Love in this world and those who loved darkness more than light. All those who are possessed by their evil passions will suffer in eternity.
What you must understand is that Eternity is Eternity. Even if you were in Hell for one hour, it would feel like an entire millenia.
@mishakol129 what u wrote is a contradiction. god is love, but he damns people to torment for eternity. who are these people who have rejected god's love? standard doctrine says all who are not christians. so does every jew, bhuddist, hindu, pagan, muslim, zoroastrian, taoist, atheist, new ager, and various persons of tribal beliefs a lover of darkness, possesed by their evil passions?
@mishakol129 it doesn't even matter, cause christians believe all of humanity is deserving of eternal torment, evident by the doctrine that we are BORN damned. so your attempt to justify this damnation through some rejection or other is irrelevant. in the end the only leg a christian has to stand on is an appeal to agnosticism;that we cannot understand god or his judgments. this is not a belief system i can accept unless it is proven beyond doubt. to me, it is cruel.
@mebe84 The very fact you are able to say that is a testament of Gods love for you. Its called free will given to you by God. If God didn't love us why would he allow us to make our own choices? You have a choice either to follow him or to defy him. But don't think for one minute you can go through life defying God and not have to answer for it in the afterlife. He makes the rules not us.
@psycofloyd i don't see anything in the concept of free will that makes it such an obvious testament from god. does it have something to do with why you call yourself psyco?
if god loves me so much why am i going to hell? why did he "make the rules" that only christians go to heaven and the majority of people go to eternal torment? did something else make that rule? maybe it was god's god. jesus would call him grandpa.
is it so hard to believe that i simply do not believe your god exists?cont
@psycofloyd i can't "defy" something i don't believe is real. or do think you are defying allah, thor, zuess and the flying spaghetti monster, since u obviously don't think they are real?(especially not the last one) do u actually believe everyone who ever lived deserves to be tormented for all eternity? there is no way for me to reconcile cruelness like that with an omnipotent, omniscient, benevolent(the good book says unconditional love, right? how ironic)god.all i hear from this video is hatred.
@mebe84 Would you rather he made you into a rock incapable of doing anything without his control? He let you make your own decisions. He gave you the keys to your own life and you hate him for it. There's no logic there and you know it. You hate God and will go to any lengths to justify it. Christians are here to warn you about the afterlife and let you know there's a way out. Yet in typical human nature you lash out at the solution instead of embracing it.
@psycofloyd i logically addressed the points of your previous comment. it is u who has resorted to an ad hominem attack and has dodged every question i asked or point i made. understand that it is possible(and quite frequent) for different people to have different beliefs and opinions. i don't think your god exists, so i obviously don't hate him. what i find quite disagreable is the petty, intolerant, and hateful message of eternal torment for all those who hold those different beliefs.
@psycofloyd although i do somewhat enjoy voicing my opinion here on u tube.
your view is very dishonest. it seems the logical contradictions i mentioned above have guided you into making false, generalized assumptions about all non-believers in an effort to justify your own beliefs, specifically your assumption that all people bound for hell deserve it because they have defied god and actually chosen to go there themselves.will u actually present a counterargument or more dodging?
@mebe84 I didn't dodge any. You just want to "reassure" your atheist faith. The logic that "if you don't want to believe something then it is false automatically" is an idiots logic. It makes no sense whatsoever but its what you've been reduced to in your hatred of God. I can provide all the evidence in the world and you still wont accept it because you lack humility. You'd rather be stupid then embrace truth. It's sad really...
@psycofloyd correction. im not sure if technically that is ad-hominem or not. sorry.sorry psycofloyd. sorry youtube, my bad. (are these they lol) i'm still right about everything else though.
What's the key message of the video? 2Cor 13:5. Because, by the time you reach Mat 7:21-23, it will be too late. Although the message isn't necessarily for true Christians, it still serves as a nice reminder and invigorating splash of cold reality. The idea is Joh 15:1-8; Mat 3:10; Mat 7:16-20; Mat 12:33, etc. It's not works salvation, but merely Lord Salvation; i.e. the true Christian convert will be known by his fruits, even though those fruits alone will not, and do not, save him--God does.
the will of the father is mentioned often, to bad they didn't included John 6:40 in the video : "For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."
Very powerful indeed. Has me thinking. I have a lust for some things on this earth, and try as I might to do Gods will, it seems like a brick wall is always blocking me. Please pray for me. I love Christ with all my heart, but the flesh wars against me. I hate this sinful nature I have. Forgive me Jesus.
Not just that but he relies on Man to get his word across. Just that in itself is enough to make me wonder and doubt this whole thing. I have faith...that one day, when he comes back around to our little corner of the Cosmos he will reveal himself, until then he is not around and has left us to fend for ourselves, with the tools and knowledge that he gave us when he made us. The simple answer is usually the right answer, and it don't get any simpler than that.
OK...I see all of your points and have heard them all before. I'm saying lets get real! We are talking about the most powerful force or being in the Cosmos - God. Look at the way you all have talked about Him. Why can't he just reveal himself! I know what you'll say. It's the sin of the world that wont let him communicate with us. He was able to create heaven and earth and is the most powerful force we believe in - yet some how "evil" is stronger then him and wont let him show himself.
I 'm Eastern, Orthodox, and what I find very curious is, is that you do not make clear in this video, how one may come to be restored to the Lord and his salvation! You don't quote scripture sources with the Gospel clearly communicated and therefore what I believe most viewers will be left with is fear of hell without a clear road to Calvary. And also a a recovering co-dependent pefectionist, you never make clear how to judge genuine repentance. Please more helpful in pointing to our Lord! OK.

@alistmaker The Eastern Orthodox Church is not condemnatory and pessimistic as this preacher is...Its not possible to make it to Heaven in one single bound, and God does not ask this of us.
We must understand that the Apostles were Spiritual Giants who lived in different times and were filled to overflowing with the Spirit.
Now, if you are a Protestant, you will probably never be able to climb the ladder to Heaven without the Eastern Orthodox Church with the Holy Mysteries....
There are 7 in number: Baptism, Chrismation, Eucharist, Confession, Holy Unction, Marriage, Ordination.
These are what make up our entire Spiritual Life. These are the what gives life to a sin-sick human being. Especially the Holy Eucharist - which is the mystical supper of Jesus Christ where we eat His Body and Blood in a Mystical and a Mysterious way...The Bread and Wine becomes transformed into the actual Divinity of God (Jesus).
@mishakol129 Summary of audio: Eating bread wafers and drinking wine portrayed as blood = pagan practice designed to insult the God of the universe and the source of born again Christians salvation.
I am a true Christian I keep the Commandments of God and the Testimony of Jesus, that means all the Commandments. I keep the 7th day Sabbath Holy. Not a Adventist either.
yeah ive been lazy the past 3 days didn't pick up my bible at all and ive been playing games and watching movies. I think tomorrow morning ill read and pray
Imagine of all preachers will like this.I remember the first time I watched this video, the past about asking God for a little help and then going "right back" really got to me.
Praise the Lord, let our hearts not get far from you God!
Great video and visuals...crazy message though. Why does God=Fear. Fear in the news, fear in the church. There has to be more to God then Forgiveness or Fear.
@KeithTruth Amen... There are more blessings connected to the fear of the Lord in the Bible than any other subject... Other than the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ :-)... Thanks for reposting this, you should check out my new film...
@projectndv In perfect love there is no fear. We change because we accept the Gospel (GOOD news). Our main task is to accept God's LOVE and salvation for free. As a RESULT we WILL change. But if we focus on the result, we will start to fail more or become like Pharisees, full of laws but cold and ignorent on the inside. When we fall into love with Jesus, we fall out of love with sin. We must focus on Jesus, accept His love and stay close to Him. It's God's work, He loves us so much!
@projectndv If you were an Eastern Orthodox Christian, then you would learn much much more about God... You would learn about Theosis - Theosis means union with God. In the Eastern Orthodox Church there is the Fullness of the Truth which the Apostes handed down to us. This Truth was not just written in the Bible. But has been Revealed again in again by God's saving and benevolent Providence - through Holy Men who were just as Divine as the Apostles, even after the 12.
@projectndv It's a loving respectfull fear. Like you feared your own mother and father when you were young. If you don't fear the Lord you can't respect him or do his will
when a sinner removes the veil and see the full power of Truth(God) shining back at them, there is nothing more Shattering. As a human being, Fear may be the only response to God.
@thewaycreates But the Protestants don't know about how to interpret the bible properly in order to understand correctly how and what kind of relationship they are to have with God.
That is why we have 25,000 different denominations because "True Bible Believing Christians" each have their own opinions about how the Bible should be understood.
Everyone always says on their Church "The Apostles Church" or "The Church of Christ"
Which Church is Christs Church??? Look on my Channel to see.
when a sinner removes the veil and see the full power of Truth(God) shining back at them, there is nothing more Shattering. As a human being, Fear may be the only response to God.
@savednorwegian Crazy message? Every second of this vid is Biblical. The God of the Bible isn't a good God? Oh really? The God of the Bible has provided a way out of eternal damnation through Jesus Christ, if we would only believe. Mercy such as this is inmeasurable. Rethink your opinion.
if the "god"(one of them) of the bible is good then there would be no eternal damnation in the first place...i believed in all of this bullshit but eventually i did rethink my opinions-which was forced down my head or expected that i believe by "christians".
I do still believe that there is a God the Highest but not a god like christians and other believe. btw most "christianity" comes and is builded on paganism-wow surprise! and the bible has been edited several times in history
@savednorwegian There is only one God and that is the God of the Bible. God is just and Hell was created for Satan and his angels. God cannot and will not tolerate sin, therefore Hell is for unrepentant sinners as well. God is willing that NONE should perish, but that all come to repentance. God loves us so much that his son Jesus was sent to die a sinner's death, when he was without sin. This is the foundation of Christianity, whether or not you choose to believe it is your choice.
@Calbenmike this is the stereotypical answer and its a big contradiction and it also says that god himself is in contradiction, to his own will and plan.
read 1 tim 4:10... it will stirr your mind up a little :)
@savednorwegian I don't particularly understand why you point out this scripture. It's Paul's instructions to Timothy regarding his future ministry. Let me ask you this, How is a "savednorwegian" saved if he doesn't beleive in the redemption through Jesus Christ? John 14:6.
@Calbenmike that doesnt make sense calbenmike, paul was not a retard and only meant timothy he was talking about us all, why would he say this if he only meant some or few?:"(and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe." (NIV)
good point calbenmike, its about time ill change my nick-if i can??
@savednorwegian You claim that these verses contradict God's plan. There is no scripture that contradicts itself for the Bible is inerrant. Your lack of proper interpretation of scripture doesn't change this fact.
my interpretation is that God will and plans to save all humans(but not necessary the way we believe-or prenominations does) and not just a few chosen, then the rest will be forever burning in agony in the "eternal torture chamber called hell"
its more like, your calbenmike lack of interpretation of this scripturedoesnt change this fact, but i must say im not 100% since ihave been wrong before. and there is at leasr one thing i do know = i might be wrong
@savednorwegian You don't read and understand scripture if you don't believe in Hell. Jesus speaks of Hell more than heaven. Jesus said many will not enter the kingdom, few will find it. I look at the teachings of Jesus and the Bible and they teach they very opposite of what you believe. Choose this day whom you will serve.
@Calbenmike ...you(as I :) - most of my life) have been lied to, manipulated, controlled and expected to believe these hypocritic errors/misteachings/disinformation and never question or challenge them.
all i can do is to tell you this and hope that you will be awakened and become free. i have nothing against you calbenmike, its just that there is no point in cotinuing this discussion. an advice; dont look at people around you that they will go to hell and need salvation, look at them as urself
@savednorwegian This response isn't biblical. I live my life as best I can as an example of biblical teachings and the bible teaches that man in inherantly bad and in need of a savior. That savior is Jesus Christ. This Christ taught that man will not inherit heaven if they do not put their faith in him and do the will of the father. Living in this sinful, deceiving world that teaches otherwise can be difficult. You have believed this erroneous teaching of the world and I hope you'll see that.
@savednorwegian I did not wait til I was married to experience sex and as I am older now I understand the overwhelming hormonal desire and the constant propanganda people are exposed to, to experience sex for the experience. There are many bad things that happen to people when sex is treated as a spectator sport , just watch an interview with Ted Bundy when he states the terrible effect porn has on people, or not revered for the truly great thing it is. I wonder if I would do anything different
@mikeoli i dont think and want sex to be a spectator sport and i agree its a beatiful experience between a man and woman. but i dont agree with religions and churches view of it and how it should be. if I and a woman want it and like each other, then its good enough...i wount be the person that prohibits people from doing what they want, of course there are always consequences good and/or bad but im not going to "burn forever" in hell because i had "lustful" sex outside marriage :-)
@projectndv Its because a lack of fear in God leads to pride. Its pride that caused Lucifer to rebel and God hates pride so much because it leads to all sin. We should fear God because he is so powerful and just. Just.. meaning we deserve punishment and we are left in his hands. If we fear him and repent he will glorify us. Pride leads us to disrespect our creator and therefore miss out on his grace.

Tripp9 7 months ago
@MrSlimeFish I care because God cares. Nothing more. I don't know you so I have no personal attachment to your salvation. But because Jesus cared enough for you to give is followers a commission to preach, teach, and baptize, I care.
Funny you use the Greek "agnostic" to describe yourself and not the Latin though...
Tripp9 7 months ago
@MrSlimeFish God has laid down His law starting with the 10 Commandments. Have you kept any one of those since you were a kid? That is what I mean by "good enough".
Do you consider yourself agnostic?
Tripp9 7 months ago
Respond to this video...The reason someone doesn't believe in a "Just" God is because they don't want to feel as though they'll be judged in the end. Just because you do not believe in God does not mean He isn't there.
Are you "good" enough to enter Heaven MrSlimefish? Have you ever told a lie? Easy question right? I'm talking from a kid to now. If you have, you are tainted and will diminish His holiness. God will not allow that, therefore, Hell is what you deserve.
Tripp9 7 months ago
@MrSlimeFish You are correct. They get watered-down over the years. Stick with the King James. It's higher English and written at a fifth-grade level.
God is never changing. People change. To see a wrathful God is to witness people turned from Him so much that it took great correction to bring them back into line. Now He has delivered unto us a savior in which it is now our sole responsibility to accept.
Don't rely too much on the other translations. They are not textus receptus.
Tripp9 7 months ago
@MrSlimeFish That's too bad. Have fun throwing-up! When a person knows right and wrong but continues to do wrong punishment is necessary. Romans 1 tells of how all the other religions and cultures were able to turn from Him.
Don't get swallowed-up by your pride.
Tripp9 7 months ago

He is the perfect judge.

@MrSlimeFish Good works will not get you into heaven.
(Ephesians 2:8) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
(Ephesians 2:9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.
An omnipotent God created us to praise Him. Look what happens when you don't...
How are you going to answer judgement from a perfect God without Christ?

@MrSlimeFish "1Co 2:14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned."
The reason you owe Christ your life is because he is your creator, the only reason you move, act and have your being is because he sustains your life, at any moment he could end it, he payed the penalty for your wickedness and suffered the wrath of God upon himself for you.
KeithTruth 1 year ago
@MrSlimeFish Sin is "missing the mark" by not following God's law. Everyone sins (Rom. 3:23) and since God punishes sin, (Rom. 6:23) Christ became a man, lived the perfect sinless life we can't live, obeying the law fully, his sacrifice on the cross satisfied God's wrath - Jesus loved us so much he took God's wrath on himself that we deserve so that if we now repent of our past sin, see that we have fallen short and believe in Christ submitting to him, we'll be saved from wrath after this life

GodLovesUs100 1 year ago
@necr0sys A prideful and accusational statement against GOD like what you just said is most likely the reason GOD doesn't answer. Remember out of the mouth comes what is in the heart. You love your sin more than you love GOD, and you lack faith to believe HE will deliver you and you lack the will to seek HIM with your whole heart and mind, instead like you've already said in your heart, you say "It's impossible". Well YAH says it's impossible to please without faith. MANY GOD has delivered.
T2Todd2 1 year ago

Onetruthrgv 1 year ago
As well you will notice in Matthew 7 he is speaking of how one will recognize them but doesn't speak of salvation being the promise of there fruits. As well in the passage the people speaking to Jesus in the quote are not claiming they actually did any real prophesying or demon casting but the emphasis is on "in your name"
The bible speaks of how there were some who were able to cast out demons as long as they used it in Jesus name regardless of what they followed.
Onetruthrgv 1 year ago

Jesus and His finished work is the base and proof of our salvation, nothing else!!
menno000 1 year ago
@menno000 The issue is not that our fruit is the foundation of salvation, but evidence we truly have believed.
GodLovesUs100 3 months ago
@GodLovesUs100 But then that evidence of your faith becomes your idol, then you start to focus on THAT: the evidence, your faith, your good works, your repentence etc. The only evidence we should cling onto is the fact that Jesus was hanging there on the cross for you. THAT is your ticket to Heaven and a changed life. Put you trust in Him that He will save you and then the good fruits will FOLLOW. When you focus on your good fruits you put your trust in the results instead of the Cause (Christ).
menno000 3 months ago
@menno000 Well not exactly cause even Paul told his readers to examine themselves to see if they are in the faith.I agree there certainly is a danger in trusting in your performance rather than self, and Im not saying we should always be focused on ourselves. You're right, focus on Jesus and trust in his finished work is key, but its also wise to examine our own hearts to see fruit of genuine belief. That really shouldn't take long.
GodLovesUs100 3 months ago
@GodLovesUs100 I do understand you and I also agree but I guess it also depends on the person receiving this particular message. For people who have difficulty believing that God loves them AS THEY ARE (grace, all His work), this message may strengthen the image of a strict/angry God who wants you to be perfect. And the natural reaction to this message is then to run away from that God. Whereas when you see Christ dying on cross, your heart is changed because of the love He has for me.
menno000 3 months ago
@GodLovesUs100 As I re-watched the video I must say I do find it biblically correct but as said, the emphasis is too much on examining yourself, trying to be good, fighting lust, I don't hear much about "For so God loved the world...' I'm sure there are people who need a fierce message but there are also many people who need words of comfort and pure grace. In general Christians are known for talking a lot about doing good and being holy but yet their hearts are often like bricks.
menno000 3 months ago
@GodLovesUs100 cold hearts, like bricks, are often the result of trying to be holy. The religious people in Jesus' days were trying to be holy and look at the result. On the cross we see the result of our idle attempts: ecce homo, behold the man. I still feel that our hearts will only break because of looking at Him. Again, the video is ok but the emphasis is what I don't like. For a sinner, full aware of his guilt, this video doesn't offer much comfort. But for some people it might be needed.
menno000 3 months ago
@menno000 I agree with you completely. hard messages like this I would not recommend much of to any true believer, because what you said has happened with me before and it's not good to be in the place of feeling you need to do enough for God, when Jesus has already done everything.I would say a message like this is more for people who show signs of unregenerate and need a wake up call, not so much for the honest Christian who is really looking unto Christ.

May we follow Christ alone in repentance, crucifying our flesh every day and walking soberly, righteously and godly in this present world, with the Lord on the throne of our life. Let go of the reigns and know the Lord is there.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom
1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear has punishment, and he who fears has not been perfected in love.
Matthew 10:31
Therefore do not fear . . .
There is a progression. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of a relationship with Him, but as the Spirit grows in you, fear departs because the Lord does not fear Himself.
Do not be deceived that a relationship with the Lord is only fear.

Sorry.
Leanyse1976 1 year ago
HarvestGroup 1 year ago

HarvestGroup 1 year ago
I grew up on sermons like this, not just weekly but most every day. It is a great call to those that need to forgive themselves - the altar call of emotion and fear - but I wonder if it actually leads others to the two greatest commandments - To love the Lord thy God, and to love your neighbor? Almost all christian doctrine is based on the Roman named Saul who became Paul after conversion on his way to Damascus. From Paul we get Jesus as God - not the jewish messiah he claimed to be.
ronskilbeck 1 year ago
I gotta say I really think this video is very bad. This kind of attitude among Christians is a SERIOUS deterrant for people to come to God. I believe this passage in Matthew 7 is meant to give encouragement to those who worry for their non-believing friends and family, not to instill doubt and fear into those who ARE believers.
Romans 10:9 "...if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou SHALT BE SAVED."

this is crazy. does god really hate humans that much? i deserve hell? i deserve infinite torment for finite crimes?and not even for crimes really, sonce i was born damned. i had no choice but to be a human. so, what traditional aspect of god to u abandon to attempt to justify this tyranny?he is either not all powerful or not all loving, but u cant have it both ways.
why would i follow a religion that is so cruel and heartless?(and irrational)
am i a christian or not? HELL NO(get it.HELL no ha!
mebe84 1 year ago
@mebe84 This guy in the video understands the Bible in a superficial and unhealthy manner.
God is Love, but they who go to Hell forever will be all the ones who had rejected this Love in this world and those who loved darkness more than light. All those who are possessed by their evil passions will suffer in eternity.
What you must understand is that Eternity is Eternity. Even if you were in Hell for one hour, it would feel like an entire millenia.
God's judgments are unsearchable.
mishakol129 1 year ago
@mishakol129 what u wrote is a contradiction. god is love, but he damns people to torment for eternity. who are these people who have rejected god's love? standard doctrine says all who are not christians. so does every jew, bhuddist, hindu, pagan, muslim, zoroastrian, taoist, atheist, new ager, and various persons of tribal beliefs a lover of darkness, possesed by their evil passions?
mebe84 1 year ago
@mebe84 St Paul states very clearly that we are not to judge those who are outside:
" Do you not judge those who are within?
13 But those who are outside, God judges. "
(1 Corinthians 5:12)
Jesus even saith that the blind have no sin:
John 9:41
"Jesus said to them: If you were blind, you should not have sin: but now you say: We see. Therefore your sin remaineth."
mishakol129 1 year ago
@mishakol129 it doesn't even matter, cause christians believe all of humanity is deserving of eternal torment, evident by the doctrine that we are BORN damned. so your attempt to justify this damnation through some rejection or other is irrelevant. in the end the only leg a christian has to stand on is an appeal to agnosticism;that we cannot understand god or his judgments. this is not a belief system i can accept unless it is proven beyond doubt. to me, it is cruel.
mebe84 1 year ago
@mebe84 The very fact you are able to say that is a testament of Gods love for you. Its called free will given to you by God. If God didn't love us why would he allow us to make our own choices? You have a choice either to follow him or to defy him. But don't think for one minute you can go through life defying God and not have to answer for it in the afterlife. He makes the rules not us.
psycofloyd 1 year ago
@psycofloyd i don't see anything in the concept of free will that makes it such an obvious testament from god. does it have something to do with why you call yourself psyco?
if god loves me so much why am i going to hell? why did he "make the rules" that only christians go to heaven and the majority of people go to eternal torment? did something else make that rule? maybe it was god's god. jesus would call him grandpa.
is it so hard to believe that i simply do not believe your god exists?cont
mebe84 1 year ago
@psycofloyd i can't "defy" something i don't believe is real. or do think you are defying allah, thor, zuess and the flying spaghetti monster, since u obviously don't think they are real?(especially not the last one) do u actually believe everyone who ever lived deserves to be tormented for all eternity? there is no way for me to reconcile cruelness like that with an omnipotent, omniscient, benevolent(the good book says unconditional love, right? how ironic)god.all i hear from this video is hatred.
mebe84 1 year ago
@mebe84 Would you rather he made you into a rock incapable of doing anything without his control? He let you make your own decisions. He gave you the keys to your own life and you hate him for it. There's no logic there and you know it. You hate God and will go to any lengths to justify it. Christians are here to warn you about the afterlife and let you know there's a way out. Yet in typical human nature you lash out at the solution instead of embracing it.
psycofloyd 1 year ago
@psycofloyd i logically addressed the points of your previous comment. it is u who has resorted to an ad hominem attack and has dodged every question i asked or point i made. understand that it is possible(and quite frequent) for different people to have different beliefs and opinions. i don't think your god exists, so i obviously don't hate him. what i find quite disagreable is the petty, intolerant, and hateful message of eternal torment for all those who hold those different beliefs.

your view is very dishonest. it seems the logical contradictions i mentioned above have guided you into making false, generalized assumptions about all non-believers in an effort to justify your own beliefs, specifically your assumption that all people bound for hell deserve it because they have defied god and actually chosen to go there themselves.will u actually present a counterargument or more dodging?
mebe84 1 year ago
@mebe84 I didn't dodge any. You just want to "reassure" your atheist faith. The logic that "if you don't want to believe something then it is false automatically" is an idiots logic. It makes no sense whatsoever but its what you've been reduced to in your hatred of God. I can provide all the evidence in the world and you still wont accept it because you lack humility. You'd rather be stupid then embrace truth. It's sad really...

The simple answer is usually the right answer, and it don't get any simpler than that.
projectndv 1 year ago

Now, if you are a Protestant, you will probably never be able to climb the ladder to Heaven without the Eastern Orthodox Church with the Holy Mysteries....
mishakol129 1 year ago
@mishakol129 What are the "Holy Mysteries" you speak of?
lizzyhock 1 year ago
@lizzyhock The Holy Mysteries:

GodsWarrior2012 1 year ago
@GodsWarrior2012 You need to become an Eastern Orthodox Christian.
A book (the Bible) is not enough to keep the evil at bay. And its not enough to satisfy the thirst of the Human Man.
The Eastern Orthodox Church is Jesus Christs' True Church.
In this church you have the Fullness of the Truth in the Holy Mysteries, and you get to Partake of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.
And this is no Joke. When Jesus said "I am the Bread of Life" He was not speaking metaphorically.

It's God's work, He loves us so much!
menno000 1 year ago
@projectndv If you were an Eastern Orthodox Christian, then you would learn much much more about God... You would learn about Theosis - Theosis means union with God. In the Eastern Orthodox Church there is the Fullness of the Truth which the Apostes handed down to us. This Truth was not just written in the Bible. But has been Revealed again in again by God's saving and benevolent Providence - through Holy Men who were just as Divine as the Apostles, even after the 12.
This is Truth.

thewaycreates 1 year ago
@thewaycreates But the Protestants don't know about how to interpret the bible properly in order to understand correctly how and what kind of relationship they are to have with God.
That is why we have 25,000 different denominations because "True Bible Believing Christians" each have their own opinions about how the Bible should be understood.
Everyone always says on their Church "The Apostles Church" or "The Church of Christ"
Which Church is Christs Church??? Look on my Channel to see.

Calbenmike 1 year ago
@Calbenmike
if the "god"(one of them) of the bible is good then there would be no eternal damnation in the first place...i believed in all of this bullshit but eventually i did rethink my opinions-which was forced down my head or expected that i believe by "christians".
I do still believe that there is a God the Highest but not a god like christians and other believe. btw most "christianity" comes and is builded on paganism-wow surprise! and the bible has been edited several times in history
savednorwegian 1 year ago
@savednorwegian There is only one God and that is the God of the Bible. God is just and Hell was created for Satan and his angels. God cannot and will not tolerate sin, therefore Hell is for unrepentant sinners as well. God is willing that NONE should perish, but that all come to repentance. God loves us so much that his son Jesus was sent to die a sinner's death, when he was without sin. This is the foundation of Christianity, whether or not you choose to believe it is your choice.
Calbenmike 1 year ago
@Calbenmike this is the stereotypical answer and its a big contradiction and it also says that god himself is in contradiction, to his own will and plan.
read 1 tim 4:10... it will stirr your mind up a little :)
savednorwegian 1 year ago
@savednorwegian I don't particularly understand why you point out this scripture. It's Paul's instructions to Timothy regarding his future ministry. Let me ask you this, How is a "savednorwegian" saved if he doesn't beleive in the redemption through Jesus Christ? John 14:6.
Calbenmike 1 year ago
@Calbenmike that doesnt make sense calbenmike, paul was not a retard and only meant timothy he was talking about us all, why would he say this if he only meant some or few?:"(and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe." (NIV)
good point calbenmike, its about time ill change my nick-if i can??
you see i did believe in this when i joined yt
savednorwegian 1 year ago
@savednorwegian You claim that these verses contradict God's plan. There is no scripture that contradicts itself for the Bible is inerrant. Your lack of proper interpretation of scripture doesn't change this fact.
Calbenmike 1 year ago
@Calbenmike my lack of interpretation??:)
my interpretation is that God will and plans to save all humans(but not necessary the way we believe-or prenominations does) and not just a few chosen, then the rest will be forever burning in agony in the "eternal torture chamber called hell"
its more like, your calbenmike lack of interpretation of this scripturedoesnt change this fact, but i must say im not 100% since ihave been wrong before. and there is at leasr one thing i do know = i might be wrong
savednorwegian 1 year ago
@savednorwegian but there is one thing iam 100%sure of, im not and no one is going to burn in hell
what i have understood from u is that u believe in that some will be saved and billions of humans like me and you will burn and so on in hell
and dont come with thats its our free choice bullshit to either submit to jesus or be damned in everlasting pain forever
please look past the dogmas of religion and become free as actually Jesus is talking about :)
savednorwegian 1 year ago
@savednorwegian You don't read and understand scripture if you don't believe in Hell. Jesus speaks of Hell more than heaven. Jesus said many will not enter the kingdom, few will find it. I look at the teachings of Jesus and the Bible and they teach they very opposite of what you believe. Choose this day whom you will serve.

@Calbenmike ...you(as I :) - most of my life) have been lied to, manipulated, controlled and expected to believe these hypocritic errors/misteachings/disinformation and never question or challenge them.
all i can do is to tell you this and hope that you will be awakened and become free. i have nothing against you calbenmike, its just that there is no point in cotinuing this discussion. an advice; dont look at people around you that they will go to hell and need salvation, look at them as urself
savednorwegian 1 year ago
@savednorwegian This response isn't biblical. I live my life as best I can as an example of biblical teachings and the bible teaches that man in inherantly bad and in need of a savior. That savior is Jesus Christ. This Christ taught that man will not inherit heaven if they do not put their faith in him and do the will of the father. Living in this sinful, deceiving world that teaches otherwise can be difficult. You have believed this erroneous teaching of the world and I hope you'll see that.
Calbenmike 1 year ago
@Calbenmike i dont believe in this "erroneous teaching of the world"-and its not so black&white-u have the truth and everyone else is wrong
there are millions of "erroneous teachings" not just the world vs the "christians"
disease, evil and death is not because of sin...sin is not the reason of this.

@savednorwegian Your last post prompts this simple question: What scripture do you base this opinion on?
Calbenmike 1 year ago
@savednorwegian I did not wait til I was married to experience sex and as I am older now I understand the overwhelming hormonal desire and the constant propanganda people are exposed to, to experience sex for the experience. There are many bad things that happen to people when sex is treated as a spectator sport , just watch an interview with Ted Bundy when he states the terrible effect porn has on people, or not revered for the truly great thing it is. I wonder if I would do anything different
mikeoli 1 year ago
@mikeoli i dont think and want sex to be a spectator sport and i agree its a beatiful experience between a man and woman. but i dont agree with religions and churches view of it and how it should be. if I and a woman want it and like each other, then its good enough...i wount be the person that prohibits people from doing what they want, of course there are always consequences good and/or bad but im not going to "burn forever" in hell because i had "lustful" sex outside marriage :-)
savednorwegian 1 year ago
@projectndv Its because a lack of fear in God leads to pride. Its pride that caused Lucifer to rebel and God hates pride so much because it leads to all sin. We should fear God because he is so powerful and just. Just.. meaning we deserve punishment and we are left in his hands. If we fear him and repent he will glorify us. Pride leads us to disrespect our creator and therefore miss out on his grace.
