@Fatblob6 Also been in Model Rail as well. Some of these layouts can be on the circuit for a good number of years, no bad thing if any are a favourite layout :-)

i wanted to stick with hornby 00 and get the class 66 but i hear the bachmann is far superior not that im too bovvered about the sounds or lights but the realistic detail and deco of the bachmann ews ect i might be dissapointed with the hornby can we have a vote?

For voting see the RM model poll. Hornby set the benchmark with their class 60, & with Bachmann Prototype deltic very close behind. Hornby class 66 is a ex lima slightly retooled. Depending on what period etc, both Hornby & Bachmann offer something to suit (& catering for most budgets: Hornby Railroad & also right up to their super detailed stuff).

I'm won't be conducting a vote on here, causes to many arguments.

cool as ever...when I was a kid in the 1940s, I'd take the elevated, then transfer to streetcar (tram) and that would take me to the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry which had a grand layout...I wish I'd been a fotog kid at the time and taken pics but alas...so everybody to learn from me, okay? :)
