Metal bands are too diverse to shove into genres, people try, and sometimes succeed, but it's good to not rely on them. Rely on Pandora instead, type in bands you like and you'll find good stuff.

Anyways, Dimmu Borgir has been one of my favorite bands for a long time, discovered them when I was 9, on my way to an Amon Amarth concert where AA was an opening act for these guys LOL. \m/

Thus, this would better fit the category of symphonic black metal, but calling it black metal is totally fine imo
