80's Hostess Snacks Commercial

I used to eat them, but I remember it so much every time I go to the store and get some. And speaking of that, I read an article this week that Hostess is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. How sad. :( That means Hostess will no longer make Twinkies and Cup Cakes and Fruit Pies due to its bankruptcy. I gonna miss them all. Now we got Little Debbie which is way better than Hostess.

Me and my sisters would make fun of this commercial on an old tape recorder. Play it back and laugh. But yea, we hated this commercial. They played it soooo much it drove (me at least) us crazy.

1. They used real sugar and eggs to make the cakes then (now it's sucrose and hydrogenated oil)

2. The servings were a lot smaller then...PLUS you didn't get a whole pack to yourself, you can bet most of us who grew up then are well accustomed to only ONE of the cakes, or ONE half of a popsicle or ONE donut, you could pick one snack and have half of it. Oh, a large soda back in the day was 12oz. 8oz was standard.

I've been trying to find this pie I recall as a kid in the 90s. It has the same wrapper as Fruit Pies and the same shape of the Hostess Fruit Pie but the one I recall was filled with whipped cream and strawberry filling and was flaky on the outside. It looked like it could be a rectangular, flaky croissant. I'm going nuts trying to figure out what the food is.
