I still have the twin turbo pinto, it is currently back in the shop getting a new rearend with a ladderbar suspension, coilovers and new frame connectors. I'm also redoing the exhaust to fit under the car. Brand new Wilwood disk brakes at all four corners. I'll post an action video this summer as i finally bought a HD video camera!

Here is an update guys I took it to the track in September, Second pass was best of the night....and had to let off twice to keep it in my lane 11.66 @ 118mph Fourth pass got me booted off the track I was off the throttle three times and then just gave up as i was loosing it. 13.39@ 84mph I'm sure it has an easy 10 second pass in it all this at only 9lbs of boost on pump gas!

Who was the plumber? Whew! I bet that was fun! I have never seen Headers going backwards! But I can see that is the only way. Even if it doesn't run super, it sure looks damned nice! My cousin built up a 351W and gave it 31 lbs boost. The motor had 4.0:1 compression ratio. It would fly! Was in a Maverick Grabber - he ate Corvettes for breakfast! I bet this Pinto does too!

you should try running it with a carb enclosure

they are overpriced! The carb is built for use with a bonnet/hat. I personally think the enclosures look ugly and obtrusive.

simply put....room. With the EFI it would make things very tight in the engine compartment and my hood would need a larger scoop if i could fit one at all.  The carb setup kept things in the centre of the hood so i only had to have a 4 inch cowl scoop.
