love and Peace to all of those that came into the room, and to those that didn't choose to come in the room. have lost my ring and I cant remember where I hid it!
When I was about twelve, and singing in children's choir, I was so amazingly blessed to be able to attend a workshop led by Sir David Willcocks. I'm now 35, and that's still one of the best memories I carry. What a gifted man. Thank you for the beautiful music.
I wish shopping malls, radio and television stations would play THIS music during CHRISTmas, and not the rot that we get bombarded with all the time during this holy time. All the mindless "jingle bells" and "wish you a merry christmas", consumer-driven drivel that the world keeps lapping up should be bannished in my opinion. If people can't handle good music, celebrating what christmas is really about, then too bad for them - don't bother keeping the tradition !
Yes that would be lovely but the music they play comes in the form of long playing disk purchased from a company that does that type of thing as painful as it all is.Much like lift music.
The KCC always moved me from when I was a child. The quality of their music has never seemed to drop which also another feat... of course it must've ebbed and flowed but to my ear they have all been wonderful. Thank you for posting this and for turning your Father's good taste into a tradition. The world needs more people like him.
My parents played the KCC Christmas album every year while I was growing up, so whenever I hear this, I am transported back to the Christmases of my childhood. I couldn't have Christmas without it. My Dad passed away just a couple of days after Christmas 5 years ago, and I have only just been able to start listening to it again. I was lucky enough to go to Kings College in June and see the famous choir stalls. It was impressive and very moving.
Beautiful Singing!! Reminds me of Christmases past! I have loved KCC since I was a kid in Africa when my dad would play their records every Christmas season. He took the entire family to watch them perform at the Cathedral Church in Freetown, Sierra Leone many years ago. Little did he know he was leaving a lasting legacy. He is now gone and I wish he was here now to see that I have continued the tradition with my own kids. Thanks for posting, Treblechoir99!
Yep this does bring tears to the eyes, its really beautiful. I live in Spain and I never feel like its Xmas here. This video was a joy to watch thank you.
KCC epitomises Christmas for me. It brings me back to the sweet place where I remember Christmas' past... and my Dad, who tuned into the BCC every Christmas Eve to listen to the service, now long since gone. God bless us all, everyone.
i think we need need more than christ to bless man in future, i can see our christmas's getting more and more dilluted, evil to some exent with the amount of evil growing in the world - we all feel it
@Turkeyhome : My parents used to play it every Christmas in New Zealand, and the BBC and the Queen's Christmas address. Kings College choir was played often ...
if you're alone this christmas, and if you could just see yourself being with your family, telling them how much you love having them at christmas eve, and you kiss and hug them one by one with a smile in your heart...this touches my heart very much
Beautiful! Our church had their service of Lessons and Carols a few days ago. It began with Once in Royal David's City. I had tears listening to the soloist. And I do now listening to this video. Such purity. Thanks for all of your amazing Christmas videos treblechoir99. They are such a blessing. Merry Christmas!
Of course, in this Lessons and Carols, Christmas without Once in Royal David's City...Thank you for your faithfullness in all year, Merry Christmas, you and all your land.
Thanks Treblechoir - this is beautiful. When I lived in Cambridge I used to see them trotting around like a very well-dressed group of little jackdaws - always made me smile. And now this has brightened my day too - many thanks. :)
This is such a treat, as I used to have to tape what I could from the Lessons and Carols. To me, there is nothing like your great men and boys choirs. My daughter sang with Simon Lole, and it was some of her best training. Thank you for sharing this!
I love the King's College Choir since I can remember. I sang in a choir in High School, so I can appreciate these heavenly voices! They sound like angels to me and they really make Christmas feel the way it's supposed to feel, to me!
Thank you so much for sharing this! What a beautiful gift!
Now i was looking for Kings and so a came here. Thanks that you posting that so beautiful choir. I love this for the clear trebles without any vibrato. They are singing beautiful.A great gift for me,Dennis.
Very lovely and beautiful, I agree with a poster close to the beginning that they are a superb choir. Thank you for uploading this video of them singing there carols and your pictures in it.
Thank you for this wonderful music. One of the popular King's College Boys Choir in the world. I visited King College, Cambridge a few days ago, but did not have a chance to sit in their singing.
Even the WSK admitted that it is a wonderful boys choir. I will make another visit to Cambridge University VERY SOON.
