  • theres that bloody word again, continueinity!!!!

    sorry silverbolt, its continuity

  • Gettin' em for my birthday 2010

  • Solid

  • You should do the overload review as flak's character. The deci clearly was a homage to that micromaster.

  • i got this guy on tuesday! i agree is awesome!

  • coool glad toysrus brought him back in stock

  • Hey there Simon,

Love this mould, and this repaint in particular. It works so much better as a Decepticon; there's something so militaristic and aggressive about the mould :) 5*

    George

  • congrats on Philly moving in. Must admit I've been tempted to get dropshot ever since he showed in AHM

  • I passed up this mold a couple times and have no clue why, guess i just wasn't impressed with it.. It's a really nice figure as your review has shown me.. I'll go hunting for one now.

  • I just bought this guy from toys r us last night. He has the same ball joint popping out that your describing - guessing its a repeating issue. Got him cos he makes an appearance in AHM 11 - 12 making into my G1 repro criteria lol.

  • I love this mold too. I got the original Cybertron one and both Overload and Dropshot and I still crave more...

I got Botcon Flak on my mind with that new delicious remolded head of his.

  • damn you have to pay double then me. I got a coupon for Countdown. $22.50.

  • you well have to get philly on your vids now

  • Actually, the Overload came after Dropshot and Overload, if you have read his bio, he is the Armada Overload not his G1 counterpart.

  • ARE YOU GETTING MARRIED!!!!?????

  • blades is a very nice toy

  • Congrats on having Philly move in mate, she's a nice lass. ;)

I'm happy with my Overcast, I'm afraid, so having another version of the mold will probably be a no-no considering Sophie's now having kittens every time I buy a new TF! XD

  • eh...don't care to much for this one....IDK.

Besides Silverbolt and Powerglide..I don't like alot of the bigger Universe figures. :\

    but nice review

  • Nice review there. What ever happend with youre MP Megatron? Did they replace it?

  • girlfriends moving in with you hayyyy ; )

    congrats but

    be careful Simon

    you know what comes next

than you wont have much money for transformers =[ hahahahah

    awesome review buy the way

  • congrats on the commitment dude

  • Ooh! I smell a review coming up of Animated Safeguard coming up!

  • More money = More toys !!!

  • Really? Is this a good mold? Yes?

I´m more of a "cool transformation" kind of man.

  • Im guessing by the way you dropped Safeguard your really not impressed with it. Im getting a Universe Springer sent to me but I do like the look of the toy so a Blades may be worth picking up pretty soon

  • Actually, the mold can rotate its missles a full 360*.

And the Dropshot I have has that loose ball joint too.

  • Great Review. I was in Toys R Us here in Ontario, Canada last weekend, and I bought the G1 Perceptor & Insecticons exclusives and I love them.

  • Actually, you missed that Dropshot's Arm that carries the giant Phallic Laser Cannon can be pushed forward, allowing for smoother articulation in the arm.

  • holy cow i did didnt even know that - thank you

  • G1 World its the place to be

  • i know the son of the man that brought transformers to hasbro...i would tell you the story, but...theirs too little characters to do it

  • Oh ho. You forgot something Simon. Universe Dropshot showed up in AHM :D

  • Great review mate!

Yep, he's a terrific toy. I think what's so appealing about him is that he captures the chunkiness and simplicity of the G1 period, while retaining the detail and articulation of the modern toyline.

All the Cybertron Defense figures share this aesthetic, which is probably why they work so well in the Universe line.

(By the way, I'm 99% sure Dropshot was the first repaint though, and Overload was released the following year.)

  • aswome review. Can you do SafeGard next.

  • cool review dude i so want Dropshot! and congrats on Philly moving in!

  • Great review :D, Ive been looking for this guy everywhere. I've got the Cybertron version someplace

  • He looks a bit like a Whirlwind tank.

  • dude i want that toy he looks amazing man great review

  • to be fair, the universe overload repaint is supposed to be from armada. so easy bio review. just saying.

  • very cool toy i beleve that version was released b4 overload

  • GD Review!!!!!!
