Hello Fauxrock! I recently purchased a new property. I would like to add stone veneer to the exterior. My question is there is vertical LP siding on it right now. Do I have to take off the siding that is currently existing? My preference would be to add the stone veneer over the existing siding only to go up 3/5 up the side of the home. Would this be OK, or would this cause a problem? Thank you for taking the time to read.
Glue&screw, lick&stick, whatever, have no idea how this looks up close, or how long it will last, but it looks a heck of a lot better than vinyl siding and better then what most people picture as a "manufactured home". The only feature that bothers me is the implausible overhang; the foundation should follow the perimeter of that section to, eh, support the weight of all that "stone", so to speak.
PS: Someone should get the guy at 3:50 a rail guide for that saw, or at least a boxing cup.
