This thing sucks man!! try upgrading to an axial crawler and you can prob. still use this body for that truck! it would look cool and it would get anywhere. I own one myself, that thing would crawl up your new bright in no time dude lOl

i have one exactly like like this,my uncle bought it for me for christmas last year, but... it is ok to take it through mud? the worst ive tooken it through is snow.

Its not waterproof and unless you want to invest in the time to make it waterproof I would definitely not get it wet

it was a good buy at what I got it for new in a thrift store. The Battery is too small ma capacity. I increased the battery to nihi at 1600 ma and was most impressed with the increase in power. I am planning on a 11.1 volt 3000 ma lipo in the future which may or may not be a good idea.bad if it goes up in flames! look around you can get some good deals under 50.00 sometimes way under 50.00

I have two of those but mine have 2 19.2 volt batteries. I cant find any model numbers on it so i dont know the model, but it looks about the same. I got both for free and have modded one ( suspension and locked the differential) and it climbs just about anything and flexes very well. Any body know what model my trucks are? i have googled but cant find anything on them yet.

I am upgradng to a 11.1 v lipo sometime after my tax refund arrives.. and my new 4WD amphib and this 4x4 can use the same 9.6 volt size 800 ma battery should make an interesting performace imporovement...:)

Haha, mine is 100% just like yours, and I'd like to share with ya'll how brutal this thing is. I drove it off a 2-story roof, with it landing on it's top, I've taken it through water, almost totally submerged. Yeah, it's lost some power, and the battery only lasts 15 minutes, but it still hasn't quit, and it's been through HELL. Reliabilty proven, friends of the RC's.

yes but its a TOY but then it was really cheap and it is for me fun to play with.. I have a hobby grade 4x4 Monster Patrol too.. as soon as I get it repainted I will post it for comparision.

This was a thrift shop purchase but target had them. I suggest you look at e Bay and online shop for it.List is about 50.00. Beware there are two. This is the smaller one with 9.6 volts dual drive and variable speed control. The next model is 99.00 and has a bigger battery. Radio Shack had a very similiar 4 wheel drive too. you may find one on closeout

lol i hate how the front and back axles arn't locked it realyy makes it harder to climb things

the lack of power seems to be the main issue with this one. As noted in video front axle is direct or locked not independent

both wheels turn under power.I don't remember if the back is too.

ya the lack of drive shafts is a pretty big problem. other than that its perfect

first on the future upgrades is the bigger battery. If that proves unimpressive there is a 11.1 2000 ma lipo going to find a new home inside. Then the weight reduction program begins

its more capable if u remove the front diff guard

100 %stock out of the box even the very weak600 ma nicd which was only cycled once.I have a nmhi that is 1600 ma on the charger.
