The females are usually a clearish beige color and i know that some walmarts have employees that could tell u or sometimes they have males and females on the tag thingy that's above the tank or you can just google search female dwarf gourami.I my self am trying to breed dwarf gouramis because they are just so beautiful!!!!! I really hope this is remotely helpful.
i REALLY wanna start breeding dwarf gouramis i have 2 of them and 3 angels and 1 loach how can i tell the difference between male and female gouramis????
better yet, check my other Dwarf Gourami videos including the spawning video which had her parents in there. As well as the two survived fry aggression video.
Hello again. Pretty aquarium, that tree stump looks very familiar to mine. That is so cute it spits water at you. All I get when I open my hood is them quickly swim to the top and wait for their food with their mouths wide open. Sigh.
Not all fish are capable of doing it. Dwarf Gourami is known to be able to spit water. :) I've seen video of a DG used that trick to get a piece of food from the glass above water level.

It is Dwarf Gourami. I bought a pair, they spawned, and this is one of the two survived fry. It's a female. Go google "dwarf Gourami"
