saw them on this tour in 1970.what a great band. One of my top 5 live gigs out of hundreds....All ace musicians and jay ferguson had the rock- god lead singer gig down pat...too bad they aren't in The RnR Hall of Fame...they deserve it for being innovators,at the least....
@bunkosquad2000 You sure do, and I hear that Walter Becker learned his first blues licks from Randy California; they were neighborhood buddies as kids, apparently.
Great music for sure. But also, that's the kind of butt movement that is truly sexy, and missing from clubs today. A helluva lot better than that damn ubiquitous booty shaking that the youngins think is the essence of hotness (and I find is stupid and as sexy as a hangnail).
@Mr99pivo Nope. Jay Ferguson was almost always just on lead vox and tamborine/maraccas. Although he could play piano very well as he did later as the front man in JoJoGunne. Yet another very under rated rock band from the 70s & 80s
Always one of my favorite bands. I saw them many times in Austin, in many variations, but always with California and Cassidy. Still love em. Got almost all their stuff on vinyl. Thanks for posting.

You bet.
"A helluva lot better than that damn ubiquitous booty shaking that the youngins think is the essence of hotness"
That "booty shaking" is copied from da sistas. It is very African and not a natural 'move' for white girls to make

The most ripped-off band in the history of rock. Do I hear Steely Dan's "FM?"

What is an SME restricts playback of some of the music mean? Why does it allow you to put it on your play list?

HEY, in your opinion. "Your life sucks" anyway, according to you.
So since you are nothing but a buzz-kill, go away and don't come back.
Cause we LOVE PSYCHGIRLY!!!!!!

psychygirly,
thanks SO MUCH for bringing on the best FLASHBACK OF MY LIFE!!!!!
What a "Hippie" girl she was! She looked just like the gal in the VIDEO from the back, and could "move & groove" in a very similar fashion.
And set to some of my favorite psychedelic music from THE best era in US, maybe even world history!
So glad I did not miss it.
Later!
