I suggest a board game, as I am quite familiar with developing different types of games. To make a TCG (Trading Card Game) it takes a lot more skill than a board game requires even if it is not a TCG, but a just a card game. A board game can also contain cards as well, and the possibilities are a lot higher. Stalker is an FPS (First Person Shooter) so making a shooting and a weapon system can also become quite difficult as well.

I have been working on a Left 4 Dead 1/2 TCG myself and making such a huge amount of different weapons, that actually fits to a combat/shooting system have been some of a challenge without a doubt. Not that a card game cant be just as creative as the board game, but it just require far more skill and work. Cause if you mean that you are a high skilled developer yourself, I think it should depend of what you think you would be able to make the best game out of

well you could send message of what you had in mind. if you just found it awesome to make a game based on stalker i think it would be best to make a board game, yes. but again, tell a litle of what you had in mind. fx:I made a card game based on left 4 dead, just becaus i loved the game, but it was hard, cause the original game had a preatty advanced game play system mechanic, so converting it, to trading able card was tough. but i guess that stalker is more convert friendly to a bord game, yep

Ugh. This really didn't help. I did make a great Board Game of an RPG, as I had a party of 10 at school for the WHOLE game. I called it

Our RPG. Basicly it's a fighting a game where you have three dice and it deals with damage. players die throughout the game and lose. We used calculators to keep track of our gold and spend it on better damage.

Damage lvls.

1+ damage.

2+ damage

double + damage

triple + damage.

This is an odd video... I would have left out references to other systems (unless you're discussing licensing existing rules systems ala Savage Worlds, Basic Roleplaying or GURPS) and focused on the essential elements of various RPGs that one needs to consider. To say that one can't design a new RPG without knowing the content of the D&D books is just bizarre... Sorry...

If you're focusing on the die type, people, you're sort of missing the point. DnD is also not the best kind of system for all settings or ideas, so it might help to do some research on how other people do things before making your own. You can follow in the footsteps of other designers, you can even use licensed systems, but that's not making your own system.

She is not a good teacher this is a terrible video 1st of all, The next key factor is few people play D10 systems. Most people play percentile and D20 systems. Yes u do have to make stats but you can come up with any stats u want! Like I am makeing a modern gangster campaign and a WWII zombie campaign and I did none of what she said!
