  • @mjconnollyIII your crazy

  • Please check "Ficus Online Store" buying this watch from Japan

  • Hello mate,

Nice video, I have a proteck and I am confused about the baometer does it read absolute pressure?

I have to calibrate all time if i move location to match it to sea level pressure.

I am not sure if should do that or just use the redings as absolute pressure.

    Cheers

  • It receives the time signal by satellite, you don't have to be close to one of the cities.

  • that watch at 5:55 the g shock i think it is. where could i buy one of them online in aus?

  • @gnarly1996 austria or australia?

  • Nice review. Spoken calmly and the watch stable on video. 10/10

  • WIll this watch automatically update when going into different time zones? or does it have a dual time zone feature?

  • Comment removed

  • this watch or the riseman??? which watch is better?

  • do I have to be near those cities to receive the atomic clock signal or is it available all around the world ?

  • They are still too big. I have a Tissot T-Touch expert and finally bought a PAW2000, which is finally smaller, but it's sitl big.

  • @joaquintrigueros only if you have puny little girly wrists

  • @xzu Ha ha :) I have a 50mm suunto core and it fits nicely. I just don't want a tacky tuna fish can on my wrist.

  • gw- 3000????

  • @watchreport hey is W -96H-1AVEF aka casio smart power LCD have hour signal because I see it has multi function alarm

  • this watch don't seem to have that many gadgets. Which Casio watch would you recommend for a person who wants the most gadgets? I have a friend who loves technology. Which watch would you recommend as a present for him? Thank You!

  • @kosmosleha Good question, anyone?

  • how is the display of the paw1300 negative edition?

  • I still LOVE my PAG40 the benchmark WATCH with TANK-Hummer style. :) Still the best looking if you like big! I still love 1300,1500 thinner case tho. 12mm thick is pretty thin for a ABC watch. Timex ABC watch is so Blah, What were they thinking? Your spending money on the Plastic BOX its shipped in which looks better Q then the watch itself. LOL Sorry Im a Casio Fan Since 1977 when I got my First Casio with Countdown timer.. 14yrs of service then the gasket went south.

  • That is so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't like the G-shock series just as you say they are bulky and i have thin wrists. Right now i have a Casio Wave Ceptor WVA109HDE-7AVER and i freaking love this watch. I think i'll never buy a plastic casing again. Stainless steel casing and wristband is the best! I wish i had money to buy a Casio titanium watch but they are sooo expensive like 600 euro's or more. Casio makes very good watches. I love casio.

  • good review. you missed the part about the "auto light function".

  • whats the difference between the 1300 1v, and the 1300T 7v?

  • @0123steps the difference are... one are resin band and one is titanium band

  • Is the compass updating "live" as you rotate the watch or does it only change when you start moving/walking ?

From this video it appears that it is a live indicator, is it the same with all other casio compass functions?

    Thank you.

  • Live but on the solar version paw it is not 20 seconds. More like 10 seconds before you need to press compass. It is not a 16 direction compass tho, It shows 0-360 degrees 1 by 1 as your rotate watch only. No walking. Magnetic North is always pulling. paw1300 Silcone soft Band with Chrome Bezel is the one I own and the bezel gets scratch pretty easy. It is metal and it is stuck on with double sided tape so changing the bezel with new is easy. Parts are 25 bucks for both pieces.

  • Also, I really wish it had the Duplex LCD for Compass. It is very Hard to see the Three dots near the bezel. If you know your degree numbers, you wont care about the Pointer. The Duplex IS really easy to see vs this outer green ring. I do like the ring counting Seconds and it uses it for measuring Baro gain on the right 3o clock position.

  • Just got the PAW1300Y-1VCR, finally broke away from the G-Shock, a little nervous about how well it will hold up with my job(Army Infantry), but with the features it has it will come in handy...Anyone know if there is a battery indicator?

  • the battery indicator is the little H-M-L on the bottom which means high, medium, and low power

  • right on the bottom of the display - on the vid there is dot on "H" - high level

  • why don't you read the manual you ass-wipe? did you miss that lesson in the army??? asshole!

  • @majorpainful Haha...I love E-Thugs

  • @lemm05

I think you got the Solar version, you wont have to worry about battery.

  • How much is this clock ?

  • a little under $200 on Amazon

  • I like the look of this watch searching around for a good price seems to be a difference in the name like VER1 or VER7 im guessing that is version??? what version do you have there?

  • I greatly appreciate this video. I purchased a Pathfinder PAW1300 after watching your review of the watch.

  • Hi, could you please do a review on the PAW1500gb? Thanks!

  • Are there any G-shock watches with a compass???? If so which model or series?

  • the pathfinder. model PAG40 and PAG40b

  • actually I believe any pathfinder has a compass. The SPF40, PAG80, PRG60, as well as the one in this video and the 1200 and 1500, and im sure there is a couple more.

  • If i am away from one of those radio based signal (germany, japan, usa, etc), like africa or Latin america for example, does it mean the watch will calibrate also?

  • No, you need to be close

  • The signal from the Colorado electronic clock can cover up to 2000 miles, so I would imagine that if you're within that distance of an atomic clock it can still calibrate.

  • Exellent report, thanks for great info

  • Hey, I just need to know one thing. I used to have PRG60 and for the compass mode, it uses 2-axis magnetometer, so in order to get accurate reading I have to make sure the watch is horizontally flat. Is it still the same with this watch?

Or does it have 3-axis now?

  • It would ne great if you could add the outer diameter and face diameters of the watch in your reports

  • Awesome vid, I was fortunate enough to find one (no joke) at a local thrift store for $7.00! No manual, of course, but I'm not sure yet if everything works properly on it. This vid helps! Before anyone asks, it is genuine.

  • hey man.....firstly i must say your reports are great...helped me get great gifts,i my self own the PAW1300.....nice watch.....but i had a little accident and managed to beat it up........i was looking for a new watch and came accross the HIGHGEAR Summit...a climbers watch.....is there anyway you could do a report on it.....am looking to get 7 of them for myself and the rest of my troop!!! thanks

  • Great video indeed. BTW, How can you calibrate time if you in africa? Is a manual setting posible? I hope so.

  • Great watch, thanks for the review.

I have a PRG40 and love it but I need to move to atomic time-keeping :-)

Not decided which to go for (PRW-1500-1VER or similar) but I'm looking.

  • I got this watch for as little as $168. I've seen it advertised some places for as high as $750.

  • my problem with these watches is they are too big and thick, like if they are made for Shaqil O'neal. I'm selling my prg80 for one of these, I hope is as thin as it looks

  • Now, the PAW1300-V1 model is actually much smaller-faced than the other pathfinders. I have one. It rocks!

  • I have pretty small wrists as well and it does fit pretty well. It probably wont be a problem I think.

  • How long is the watch band itself? I have small wrists and need to know if this will fit me.

  • I want to buy this watch. but im wondering if water resistant means waterproof to 100meters?? like i can wear this watch while im swimming, have it submerged continuously no problem?

  • yes, but my advice is to get the newer model Paw1500-1v if you are a real outdoorsman.

  • I don't think the nautical feautures are worth the extra $200.

  • NO. 100 m DOES NOT mean the actual depth. There is an equivalence of the 50m, 100m, 200m etc to activity and bars (pressure). 100m is ok for surface swimming. 50 m is NOT for surface swimming, just splashes from washing your hands.

  • I just got this watch, its awsome.. Thanx for the excellent review.

  • Hi TaxOfc741, as you commented here two years back, you can be prefect candidate to answer my question :) Is your watch still working and without changing it's original batteries? I read on many forums/reviews that their batteries are very costly. So wanna confirm before buying. Any other suggestion highly welcome. :)

    Thanks

  • @gamzun The PAG40 takes 4 (four) SR927W / 399 batteries which can be had for less than a buck apiece online. There are also instructions for changing them yourself online. Not a big deal at all.

  • I would've liked to hear the alarm. You mention that there's 5 of them, but how LOUD is it?
