Why would Asari not be seen as a Tombia man. Yes Tombia is not of Kalabari descent but for so long have been under the Kalabari umbrella. We have been brothers in many wars also before the division of Rivers State the importance held by the Kalabari also extended to the Tombia man. If the problem is with Asari say so, "saying we do not recognize you as a Tombia man" is divisive, we are all Ijaw, there fore citizens of all Ijaw towns. Tombia and Kalabari are one. I hope Tombia agrees.
All ethnic nationalities of the NigerDelta --- Igbo, Ibibio, Annang, Ijaw, Efik, Bokyi, Ejagham, Igede, Yala, Urhobo, Itsekiri, Isoko, Ebira, Edo, Esan, Okpamheri share commom interests that should form a basis of cooperation. A cooperation that its deficiency through division and conquest had cost them 50 years of exploitation. and oppression.
Is really a pity, we all know our problems but because of greed and selfish intentions we decided to keep mute. The first thing is to probe all the Governors of Delta, Rivers and Balyelsa and anyone found guilty should be killed by firing squad then proceed to NDDC and probe them as well and anyone found guilty should be klilled as well. PERIOD. Enough of this pity!!!
"..representatives of host communities in oil and gas companies in the Niger Delta and leaders of Ijaw Youths Council, on Thursday, stormed the National Assembly..The leaders alleged that the Nigerian soldiers had killed no fewer than 6,000 men and women in the area since the federal government declared war on militants in the Niger Delta, lamenting that many more Ijaw young men and women were still missing..." --- Nigerian Tribune Newspapers. Friday June 26, 2009.
Oil does exist in the USA. We fight very hard to keep them from polluting. Bush tried to dig up Alaska, and the people were outraged. We've also had oil spills. The devastation from them exists to this day.
Shell is milking Nigeria and dont care for nothink only profits, all these people suffer at the cost of Big Companies and I dont see how this can be changed in the short term. I feel for these people as I lived in Nigeria in Port Harcourt and seen everything with my own eyes. ((GOD BLESS NIGERIA))

For so long, one wonders what the losers who run Nigeria have been doing to solve this problem. This is unfortunate.
