Could've been Connor MacLeod fighting Fasil, The Kurgan, etc etc. and could have The Kurgan and Ramirez as unlockable characters. Instead, they've opted to go for the pathetic TV franchise. They replaced my hand and retouched a fancier sword into the shot for the cover art. But to answer your question, they only need a cheap sword to work with and planned to replace it with CG later as in the game box art. I don't know why they didn't do it for this video. That was a fun shoot, I was treated like a King all day.

well in Duncans case it was a gift from a friend when he was there centries ago, in conners case he used his mentors sword in honor of him after he was killed and in colins case his old sword broke so he used a katana which he found...

Highlander universe has endless scope in time, setting,characters yet still they force a lame scottish tie in to every re-imagening. They should just call it The

Quickening instead of Highlander. Then you could choose an immortal character and, depending on who it is and when they're born, determines the part of the story you see as a whole and each has personal historical flashbacks. Each character interacts, befriends, fights and ultimately kills all rivals/friends to become the last alive.

Yeah, though the katana is a good all around sword if used properly I agree that it has been over used i.e. Conner(I'm not complaining that is part of his character), then Duncon. Now it seems to be with character not to mention using the Scottish motif again. Not bitching but there were more than one culture or race being gifted/cursed with immortality according to the story lines.

Using a long sword is slow and cumbersome. If you're going to fight for your life you need speed and precision.

Didnt have Katanas in Scotland, if they did I'm sure they would have used them.

Longsword too heavy, while the Katana isnt heavy at all,so if you travel around and see a better weapon of course youre going to use it..
