I read another version of this, exept two brothers (one of which was called Harold) steal a scary-looking scarecrow from an old farmer to ruin his crops, but get freaked out & smash it's pumpkin head to bits; during the night, the headless scarecrow breaks back into the house & attacks them, but one brother run away; while running, he looks back & sees the scarecrow chasing him with a new head, that looks just like Harold's

You have given me a thought....they should actually make a show with like 3 episodes a night that are based off the scary stories books. Like mini episodes kind of like they did with goosebumps, tales from the darkside, or are you afraid of the dark. But since most stories are not very long they could have 3 a night.
