Don't think that Simon malls is the only mall that enforces no photo policies. Many other malls owned by other companies also do it. Maybe simon malls cracks down on it the most.
i got caught a couple times filming elevators. i always have an excuse, and they usually say that i have to stop filming, then i say okay i put my camera away now, but when the guards have left, i think about the song "fuck you" by "lily allen".....and then i begin filming again...
Actually, most private buisnesses don't allow video/photography, and being private, the owners can make their rules. Just explaining. I've recorded at a couple Simon malls, and nobody seems to care, and have done it in front of employees, too. (Especially Pheasant Lane, Nashua NH.)
Did you get caught or something, Before I started filming I was riding a Dover Elevator At Samammish Club and I got busted, I almost closed it on him.
I've been in elevators where the door close button was broken. But in this elevator, the door close button breaking would render it unusable!

Plaza, Mall, Upper. I guess it was added when the upper level was built in 1994-1995. Either that or it was extended in 1994-1995

Huh it's not often that you see Courion Doors on freight elevators, it's most commonly Peelle doors.

So in my Area, they are very unavoidable, even though both malls in my area only have elevators and escalators in department stores.
