  • Where did you buy that?

  • when you've taken that 12 volt lamp apart could you post a video of its in sides I subscribe after this question is posted.

  • is it possible to make the light face the solar panel for infinite energy?

  • i have a 18 watt solar panel and i can run a radio and have 1 car batt in the shed surprising it keeps the car batt charged forsure they are definately a good panel forsure

  • I bought on of these and I wasn't paying attention and used an ac 12 volt adapter and the transformer started to smoke I missthat light

  • I used to have a light like that a couple of years ago. I forget why, but it broke. I would like to get another one. I have one like it now, but it doesn't have the 12 volt jack, you can only run it off 8 AA batteries, which give it about an hour of runtime.

Is there a specfic brand name on that light of yours or it's packaging?

  • i have purchased about 14 of these lights from Lowes at $10.00 each. ones that i have found that does not have a jack that walmart sells, i put my own jack as long as its a 12volt light. you can buy the jack at radio shack, usually its the B or K type female jack.

  • That's good info, thanks!

  • Nice!

  • You can easily make it brighter as well. Take the light apart (one screw on each end) but be careful not to lose the two metal things that the screws go into. On the circuit board next to the switch is a rheostat. Turn it counter-clockwise with a small flat blade screwdriver until it draws around 600ma. The light will be a lot brighter. Don't go over 630ma though, I cranked my first one up all the way to the left (~700ma) and while it was a lot brighter; the ballast burnt out after an hour.

  • Thanks for the information. i will try it out.

  • I have one of these myself that I'm using for my "12 volt room" project. At 300ma, it doesn't "drive" the 8 watt fluorescent tube fully but it's a nice amount of light.

  • cool i will probly get one
