this is from Type-Moon right? I can tell, the art of the characters are realy similar to Fate/Stay Night

Canaan herself looks just like Ryougi Shiki from Kara no Kyoukai only with a palette swap, heh.
And Alphard, Canaan's foil, has Ryougi's VA.

They (PA Works) did produce True Tears which also carries good animation, but its a romance (which is also pretty good too) and is actually pretty subtle, a slow series, but deep. As for CANAAN, I don't know much about it but I am looking forward to it (been a while since I watched anime though I like the music).
