I don't suppose you make your main site work with the iPad as I can't access it without asking to use someone else's laptop, and I hate doing that as I would a long time on just watching the nature videos clips. If you could do this then it be a big help to me.
If the British hand over Wikileaks' Assange to the U.S.A, through which Assange will get a very very long prison sentence, then our proposal is to boycott British products!
Do not buy British financial products. No British oil! No Shell! Do not buy BP oil (for more than one reason). Get somewhere else a telecom provider and drop Vodafone. No English food. No Unilever!
Go on holiday to anywhere, but the U.K. Go outside the U.K. on holiday to recover from U.K.'s behavior!
A: BBC News is available as both an iPhone and iPad app in the Apple App Store. The demonstration was done on an iPad because it is easier to show the app on the larger screened iPad
Q: Well Mr. Madden, you'd better make an app like this for PC laptops and Windows Mobile phones (such as the HTC HD2) as well, hadn't you? After all, I pay my licence money too
A: we plan to offer apps to other platforms later in the year
Q: Will I be able to access the BBC News Channel when overseas? (Yes, I am a licence fee payer)
A: The BBC News Channel is not currently available outside the UK. The BBC News iPhone and iPad apps are available in Apple App Stores outside the UK and includes Live World Service radio
Hi there, My name is Chris Jones and I'm the Social Media Manager for BBC Digital Comms. Thanks to everyone for your comments about the BBC News app: Below are some answers to your questions. If you have any further questions or comments please visit David's BBC Internet blog.

That's nice and all, but how about converting all the audio and video on the standard BBC websites to H.264, instead of Flash? That'd be a better option, so mobile users of any platform can see all the content.
David, if you read this, I have a suggestion for the App. I've been using the US version of the App since release (I have both a US and UK iTunes account), and was happy with all the functionality except the inability to have 'favourites' of separate UK regions. Well, this has been fixed in the UK version, however, there is now an inability to distinguish between different world regions (for example 'Africa', rather than just 'World'. In the next version can we have both?
Where the fuck is the iPhone version? surely that is much more important as many many more people have iPhones than the over priced iPad...? Sort it out.
This has been available outside of the UK for a long time (since before the UK launch of the iPad), so why has it only just been approved by the Trust for use in the UK now? - where people living there actually pay for the BBC to develop these apps!

Video streaming doesn't work in Jersey. We're part of the UK though and the news website allows it in Jersey. Will that be rectified?

Why mention Blackberry and Android specifically ... leaving the market leader (Symbian) in the "other" category... *rolls eyes*
