That Setter has the longest tail I've ever seen! Looks to be a young one and they always seem to look a little scrawny until they get their feathering.
Wow, this irish is almost identical to one we rescued (which came from Ireland originally) from the NCDL - its uncanny. I think its too much of a coincidence for him to be on youtube though!
I have Irish setters, that animal is fine, it's the breed. Some look bigger as they have longer feathers on the underside thats all. FurubaFan shut up your mate may be an expert but that does not make you one!
And I have owned an Irish Setter. Sorry, but I think you must be blinde. Yes, it could do with some more muscles, but I serously doubt it has been starved! Looks like a normal dog. Maybe your friends dogs are a bit too fat? Are they show dog setters? 'Couse they look different from the huntingtype! And heard that many show dogs of other breeds are too fat, 'couse the judges will not consider them if they are not. And thats a shame... Overweight is dangerous..

It most certainly is a purebred - you lose the colour if you cross an Irish with anything else.
I do hope it found its way home safely.

And, think its a "she"... They are smaller than males. But not sure, sometimes even males can look a bit feminine! ;) And vice versa!

That dog is not emaciated. Looks fine! And, yea, beautiful :)

Are you blind? its extremely thin! My friend shows setters, and one that thin would be excluded for malnourishment! Its very thing. ;__;
And thats not including the inches of fur hiding its bones.
