The movie was supposed to be what is in this part: the journey to atlantis, while battling monsters and overcoming obstacles. The fact that it came out like this shows the differences the creators of the movie had amongst each other and is a clue of why this movie didn't do as well as other disney movies.

I don't know if it's a common practice but you see that a lot in movies whenever a ship's sinking. Keeping the water isolated so it doesn't flood the rest of the ship is more important as that will save more lives.

As much as I would like to love this movie, I can't. I love the idea of an exploration to a forgotten city under the water filled with awesome wonders, but this movie has too much slapsticky, awkward and immature humor for me to take seriously. Especially when we see people getting brutaly killed left and right by killer waves and monsters. If this movie had a more serious tone, it would've been more interesting. Intstead, it's just too silly and corny for me. If you think I am wrong, tell me.
