It's very difficult to write two sillables in one note: in Italian, it's very common to have for example DA - GLI OC - CHI and the two syllables GLI OC become one and in musescore it isn't easy to right it if you don't use a ^ or other simbols instead of the canonic little arch bound inferiorly.
If you could solve this problem, I think musescore would be a really competitive notation program!
@mechwarreir2 You select the note where you want the chord symbol to appear and then type Control+K (Command+K on Mac). A cursor will appear above the stave and you can just type the chords in. Press Space to move on to the next note.
Hi. First, I'd like to say, thank you very much for this free software. It's been very helpful to me. My problem is, while typing in lyrics, when I ht the letter "m," the mixer window appears, and the letter "m" is not typed in the lyrics. How do I get around this? I've noticed that this doesn't happen when I capitalize the "m," but I certainly don't want to type my lyrics in all caps. Hope you can help me with this. Thanks in advance!
That's odd. What OS are you working on? I dirty workaround (I'm assuming for this would work for any platform.) would be to copy the letter "m" to your clipboard from a text editor and paste it in every time you need it. Wacky and inconvenient, yes, but it should work for now. I'm no Musescore dev, so I don't know if this is purely a Musescore bug or a bug between Musescore and your OS.
@greyspot00 Thanks for the reply. I'm using a MacBook Pro, OS 10.6.5. It might be a bug between Musescore and my Mac, I don't know. There's something I forgot to mention: my Musescore is version 0.9.6. Maybe I should try downloading version 1 and see if this bug has been fixed. If not, your copy and paste suggestion sounds good. Didn't think of that. Thanks again.

If your making a jazz composition, how do you make chords? And I don't mean the notes, I mean the letter (ie E7, Ab minor 7, or C9, etc.).
