I love this video. It's very helpful. Editing is something I am going to have to start doing. I want the quality of my videos to improve. Thank you for all the tips. Love your hair too. Going natural was the best hair decision I ever made.
@ksprowl1 Editing helps me eliminate my ramblings and bloopers and helps the video flow. I'm coming to check out your channel! Thanks for the hair love! I love natural hair!
Oh hello! Have you tested bee4biz (search on google)? its link locker that pays each time someone does your survey and unlocks your protected url. A mate of mine makes a lot of money with them just getting everyone to do surveys.
@TheMizzprincess1991 The content of your video is THE most important. If a vlogger can get his/her point across without a lot of mistakes, editing is not necessary. And in my opinion, set up is only for visual appeal. It's all about what the vlogger is there to share or teach or show. Great question!
This video is excellent! You are so correct about the "pay for sub" thing. I've been continually receiving random messages about how I should do that, but I don't feel that is necessary. If people want to subscribe then they will do so, but I want to receive subscribers the honest way.
@MsNaturalTouch *blush* Thank you. It can be a little daunting to post videos and the subscribers trickle in. However, I think as we foster a support system for each other & an understanding of how YouTube REALLY works, the subscribers will come, organically. On the concept of "pay for subs", I always think "easy come, easy go". I would rather continue to build my base one by one with real people who like me and not some paid script. Thank again for your response.
A lot of the friend invites are automated by bots. People don't even visit your page. They just use software/scripts to send out invites. So annoying.
@napturallycurly So annoying is right! I get it now why their content is not related to my channels. If it's automated, unless the script can be written to target my format, it WILL be random AND annoying! Thanks for giving me a better understanding. I really hoped you'd weigh in on this. You ARE the greatest.
@napzfaya No problem. Glad that you enjoyed them. I have YouTube Tips playlist in case you haven't seen the series. Thank for watching and giving your feedback.
I have Microsoft Movie maker so I am still learning how to do the whole editing thing-lol. However, I don't plan on attempting to becoming partner so I probably will continue to keep mine the way they are. Love yours though girl.
@VickyVue Movie Maker is a great way to learn editing! Keep making your videos. I didn't have any partner intentions either but after 3.5 years, I started to see things differently. You may not have that intention now but it's good to know it's an option.
@mokahdeelyte LOL! Sorry girl. I've got to get the hang of annotations! But part 3 is coming tonight. I'm EDITING as we speak! Because I follow my own advice and record in segments, I was able to upload Part 2 and keep it short! I am thrilled that you enjoyed the video! Thanks!!!
@kylahsmom1 I know right? Where do they come from? When I've looked at their channels, they have 15 subscribers. I instantly think, "You probably want to start by helping yourself FIRST!"
Thanks for watching and taking the time to participate.
I get a ton of friend reqeusts but when I check out their channel, a lot of times they have nothing at all in common with me..one guy was some sort of dare devil..lol..thank you for posting this info!
Editing is so important! It can mean the difference between a loooong, rambling video and one that is consise, informative, and to the point. Thank you for sharing these tips!
@NappyNFree My pleasure. I am NOT a fan of public speaking and often get that "deer caught in the headlights" stare. Thank goodness for editing! It takes a lot of time but it is definitely worth it because I am such a rambler!
I don't mind public speaking (much), but I HATE talking on camera. It took the longest for me to let go of the subtitles occasionally. LOL.
I just thought of another tip: Develop online relationships (connections? friendship?) by responding to your comments. It takes time, but if they aren't too many, it is doable. I like it when people respond when I leave a comment on their channel. It makes me want to comment. :-)
@NappyNFree That is video YT-365! LOL. There is sooooo much that I have in store to share about what I've learned. I also love getting responses and replying back. It lets me know that I have a real connection.
You are a great inspiration and I love your tips about Youtube. I stopped worrying about subscribers. If they come, they come. If they don't, they don't. I just love doing video's.
@fergi421 Thank you. You have figured out the hard part! The rest will fall into place. Keep making your videos because YOU love them. The subscribers will come.
This was very helpful. I have my own channel as well as a childrens hair care channel that I recently started with another mom. I/we do what we do because we want to share what we have learned with other moms and other natural ladies. I think that when you lose your focus about your original intent for making videos and change it to subscriber watching, then you lose your purpose. Thanks soooo much for the tips. This was definitely needed.
@TheBlessedmomof3 You have to LOVE what you do. When you can do that, you have found your groove and the rest will fall into place. I recognize my own place and stay in my lane. Continue your journey. Thank you for supporting my channel.
love this video. I hate those trolls and i more often than not do not accept the friends requests, especially from those unrelated channels. I hardly edit videos hahah!! i love all your tips! :)
@louloumatou Hey Loulou! No editing needed: I was thinking of you when I made that statement. You and Splinta are pros in that department. I have lots of ums, uhs, and blank stares! LOL. Trolls. . . uh! Thanks! Love to Max!
@EvelynPrather LOL. I would much rather a script for someone else to read and I can direct them. But, since I'm a one woman show, I gotta do it. The I.C.E. method really makes it flow. I know we've all tried to record the whole video in one take and end up doing it a dozen times until it's right, the I.C.E. method really makes it flow.
@11zeaky I know what you mean. I've stopped accepting many of them because I feel that if a person is interested in my channel, they will subscribe and not just send a friend request. I've also stopped visiting the Trolls' channels.
very informative. I've had the ghost subscribers too they subbed to me then I go and there's nothing. Oh well I'm going to keep doing me, who ever finds it interesting they will sub if not Have a blessed day. LOL
@trecey920 Girl, the way you keep cranking out videos, you are going to have 500 in a bit! Keep on doing YOU! When I first started posting videos, I had no idea that ANYONE would be interested in watching me "play in my hair"! I'm STILL shocked when I get new subscribers!

In your opinion is it completely nessaccary to do video editing? And also is it nessaccary to have a perfect set up for recording?
