Not sure if you're interested, but the welcome.exe will play on other versions of windows, above 98, well kind of. To do so, install 98 in virtual pc. Once installed, go to C:/ Windows in your virtual pc and normal windows, find WELCOME.EXE in 98, drag it into your normal windows (xp, 7 etc) windows folder. Then in your normal windows windows folder, make a folder call application data, then inside that, a folder called microsoft. Go back to 98, drag welcome folder to microsoft folder on xp 7

@gizanator it was crap like probably the worst version of Windows I ever saw. Windows 95b was so much better on the slower computers of the time I found 98 was so slow on my Pentium 75 but 95 ran sweet. The simple reason was IE4 slowed it down. Also it had nothing new if you had Windows 95b + IE4 + Plus95! you had almost all of Windows 98.

ME I found was a bit more stable but the best was Windows 2000 and then XP once Microsoft released Service Pack 2. Then it went downhill again with Vista.
