Actually, the verse of the bible that talks about homosexuality is part of a much larger passage about the sin of adultury. I've always read it that, even if you sleep with another man, a la the Greeks and Romans, you are not exempt from the punishment set aside for adulterers. It's also in the book of Leviticus, which was a very stringent set of rules set aside specifically for the Levites so it actually has no bearing on the entirety of mankind.
