I have used both iPhone and android. Most recently iPhone 4s and gnex. And yea iPhone has slightly better dpi but nothing that my eyes could see also iPhone is OK in its place but its too small in my opinion. But I do like the new notification panel in the iPhone update its pretty sick.

Any malware that has made its way onto the Market is removed in under 1 hour, that's not even enough time for it to make it into any relevant lists. I've also never had the issue of not being able to run an app on my phone due to "lack of hardware."
Most android phones have hardware much better than the iPhone. iOS is still the same OS it was years ago. Android is pushing forward, if Android was the same OS still, it would be smooth too
I used to have an iPhone, but switched for the htc desire 18 months ago. Flash on mobile websites is, at the minute, great. not everyone's html5 yet. got pissed off with Steve Jobs telling me what I could or could not do with MY phone!! iPhone's still slightly more polished, but overall android is miles ahead.

@SuperDooperChan I just got a droid a little over a week ago, it is the Droid X2, this was an upgrade from the ENV3 I had for years. The things that this phone can do blows my mind. I'm not a big "phone geek" so I did not know all the things that this phone can do, and I doubt I will ever know it's full potential. Im 29 so I grew up playing Pong on Atari and Duck Hunt on Nintendo, along with Mario Bros, but when I look at video games now I'm blown away by how real they look...lol.

I mean, this you HAVE to admit, the most you can do with customization is move your icons and add a picture to the back, where as in android you can use widgets, arange your apps any place you want them to, and yeah, I never said Apple was a bad company. I have an iPod touch and it;s nice to listen to music on and play some quick games but that's all I use it for. I use my phone for everything else.
@xxkeichii and an iPhone can do everything you said and more when jailbroken. In fact, a jailbroken iPhone really doesn't have any limits as far as functionality, as developers pretty much just write any functions they choose into their own applications.
So this is all to say that should Apple release their phone as open source as it is when jailbroken, provided the hardware is all well and good....no phone beats it. And since jailbreaking takes 60 seconds....i choose iPhone.
@misterlestrade Yeah, but Jailbreaking STILL voids your warrenty, you still have a chance if harming your phone, and you don't have to worry about paying for all these features off Cydia. With Android, you can do EVERYTHING right out of the box. No hassle on trying to get everything right on the iPhone with jailbreaking.
@xxkeichii restoring the phone eliminates the jailbreak, there is maybe a 2% chance of "harming" your phone, and even so, iTunes restores fix that. I've had every iPhone since it's introduction and even the most primitive of jailbreaks were harmless and reversible. trying to soft UNLOCK the phone for use with other providers, now THAT is where you have possible dangers. And just as you can get all appstore apps free, you can get cydia apps free as well.
@xxkeichii it's really only a "hassle" to users who don't know what they're doing, and jailbreaks have come a LONG way since 2007. You plug your phone in and click a button....or type in a website and drag a slider....hardly a hassle imo. And as far as Android doing everything out the box.....I'll have to check their app repositories again because there were certainly a ton of things I could do with my iPhone as games/productivity that I couldn't do with my droid, last time i compared.

@SuperDooperChan I just got a droid a little over a week ago, it is the Droid X2, this was an upgrade from the ENV3 I had for years. The things that this phone can do blows my mind. I'm not a big "phone geek" so I did not know all the things that this phone can do, and I doubt I will ever know it's full potential. Im 29 so I grew up playing Pong on Atari and Duck Hunt on Nintendo, along with Mario Bros, but when I look at video games now I'm blown away by how real they look...lol.

@NowThePeople Nice :) I'm big into fighting games, have been since I was about 2 years old in 1993. Never been much for phones so I've never bothered to really follow any of the latest phone tech. I'm seen I can get a Samsung Galaxy S which I THINK has Andriod 2.2 on it. Some people may discourage me since it's not the latest and greatest, but I'm pretty sure that it'll be able to do everything I need and then a lot of stuff that I probably won't even discover.

I'm about to upgrade to the Galaxy S II X, but I'll always love my Milestone (Droid to you Americans). I saw this commercial when it was released and I instantly loved it. Classic ad and whatever marketing agency was commissioned for this deserves a hearty round of applause.

I mean, this you HAVE to admit, the most you can do with customization is move your icons and add a picture to the back, where as in android you can use widgets, arange your apps any place you want them to, and yeah, I never said Apple was a bad company. I have an iPod touch and it;s nice to listen to music on and play some quick games but that's all I use it for. I use my phone for everything else.

@xxkeichii and an iPhone can do everything you said and more when jailbroken. In fact, a jailbroken iPhone really doesn't have any limits as far as functionality, as developers pretty much just write any functions they choose into their own applications.
So this is all to say that should Apple release their phone as open source as it is when jailbroken, provided the hardware is all well and good....no phone beats it. And since jailbreaking takes 60 seconds....i choose iPhone.

@xxkeichii restoring the phone eliminates the jailbreak, there is maybe a 2% chance of "harming" your phone, and even so, iTunes restores fix that. I've had every iPhone since it's introduction and even the most primitive of jailbreaks were harmless and reversible. trying to soft UNLOCK the phone for use with other providers, now THAT is where you have possible dangers. And just as you can get all appstore apps free, you can get cydia apps free as well.

@xxkeichii it's really only a "hassle" to users who don't know what they're doing, and jailbreaks have come a LONG way since 2007. You plug your phone in and click a button....or type in a website and drag a slider....hardly a hassle imo. And as far as Android doing everything out the box.....I'll have to check their app repositories again because there were certainly a ton of things I could do with my iPhone as games/productivity that I couldn't do with my droid, last time i compared.

@brndnrckn It's easier because it takes less time. It's not that it's easy, but you have to go through loading the app, ect. It's easier to update a status by clicking a box. And Android has a just as good voice searcher. Sure, iPhone's is more advanced, but Android gets the work done just as nice. And who needs iTunes when you can get all the free music you want with an Android app? . Yes Apples phones are smoother, but some Android are just as smooth And you are right, all about opinion.
