C'mon everyone, it's not that bad - sure it lacks dynamics & is way too loud all the way through. But I'd love to know how long this gent has been playing ? I would guess that he is a novice pianist, and this being a Grade 7 exam piece, if he is in fact novice, then he's done rather well to tackle it at all, and very brave to post the video for the world to see.

a)try and be softer

b)the left hand chords can be also be played with the right hand always having mind though that they have to be softer than the melody itself. Sometimes you joined the accompaniment with the melody

c) this is a romantic piece = try and be romantic!

Nicely played!!! I think the problem with dynamics is with the piano itself. It has a "tinny" sound and is out of tune. This man has good technique and passion-He just needs a good piano :)

You need to add the poetry into this piece more gentle playing will help. Dont rush the piece. Mendelssohn is my favorite composer, you need to get the Mendelssohnian style of playing. Accurate, dramatic, clear and balanced, tempi is very important with Mendelssohn.

I play this exact song..I dont want to criticize.....cuz your probobly more experienced...and of coarse older....but..I do all the dynamic in the beggining and idk if its just the camera that doesnt pick up but it seems you don't.....and at the end......its WAY soft....and....if you dont notice on the sheet...the right hand has a framada [cant spell it..] so yeah....SORRY if this seems im too picky...but i have to criticize things i do and see other people doin...lol.....BUT GOOD JOB

my teacher used to tell me i don't slur and blend the notes enough in this song, you make the same mistake >.<

use pedals!!!!! it makes a big difference~~~ :p
