Alissa Czisny is indeed the best figure skater out there. She ties with Sasha.

Her spins are gorgeous, as is her artistry. Her jumps are a bit crunchy, but otherwise, she's superb. :)

Spins and spirals executed at this superlative a level should be rewarded on par with the most difficult jumps in my opinion.

IF ARTISTRY WASN'T A SIGNIFICANT PART OF LADIES FIGURE SKATING, i WOULDN'T WATCH. aND THE THREE MOST ARTISTIC SKATERS TODAY (IN MY OPINION) ARE aLISsA, yUNA AND KIIRA KORPI. sOMETIMES i THINK THE STRESS OF yUNA MAINTAINING HEr STANDING WEIGHS ON HER TOO HEAVILY. Oops, caps locked, well, I'm not going to re-type.

Wow her beillman looks like young Caroline Zhang's(the way she used to do it). Her flexibility is so amazing. She just makes you want to go out there and skate too. I miss skating so much. I hope i can be back and going pull power ahead. I hope to someday get my flexibility back. Alissa Czisny is just so beautiful out there on the ice. Words can't describe her skating...

And let me say this. I enjoy Alissa and she is a good skater and I thoroughly have enjoyed her all season. But if Yu-na, Miki and Mao all skate at their top level, Alissa will never be on the podium. At worlds, had she not fallen on her triple lutz in the long she would have come home with the bronze. That's nothing to sneeze at. And PLEASE never compare Alissa to Sasha. Sasha wishes she had half the skating technique Alissa has!

@DarrenInCA Sasha has the ablity to perform elements other only dreamed of in skating. No one will compare her sprials its just amazing and her personality to the music. Her footwork tells a story, well you can say her whole program tells a story. So yea Alissa is kinda similar.

@anubethc45 Spins and spirals yes. (More like a HELL YES!) Edges, you must be smoking crack. Have you even taken a judging seminar on edges evaluation? I somehow doubt it. In the PCS criteria, Kim is superior to Czisny. Repeat after me, ARTISTRY IS NOT SOMETHING JUDGED IN FIGURE SKATING. It is an urban legend among skating fans. It has NEVER been something judged except in Pro competitions. Alissa has great posture and style, but skating skills, transitions, choreography all go to Yu-na.

Alissa you are 4 and half points away from Yu-Na. PLEASE PLEASE don't blow this. You have it all, just go out there and do what we all know you can do. Do it for yourself and for Laurence Owen who lost her shot 50 years ago on her way to Worlds. This is your time. Take control and make it happen.

It's so wonderful to finally see someone step up and work toward greatness for U.S. Womens Figure Skating. I feel that there's been a huge void since the departure of Michelle Kwan, and Alissa is a beautiful skater that is definitely the whole package. I really hope she excels in her long program and gets to the podium this year . . .
