@TheDarkWall I think you might've answered your own question. If the console doesn't have any good fighting games, why complain about the only good fighter it gets? I'm pretty sure Wii owners were dying for a decent fighting game.
It is a basic ryu combo, but now i am better and can get some pretty huge and amazing combos with ryu and other chars, i will probably upload some when i am bored, but in this game with the downgrade of combos, longer combos are not effective
@jluisao2 Yup yup, I remember back when it was CGoH, I was trying to learn all these crazy long combos, but like you said, the combos themselves seem to prorate so badly now it's ridiculous. Having to relearn strats is lame. But it's cool I guess, when I'm online and I'm winning, I'll do a long combo for the hell of it.
Yeah, that online lag is hideous. How I ever play online is a mystery. I hear it is much better if you have that adapter for a wire connection and play people who have the same though.
@namman11 Prorate is when your attacks get scaled to do less damage after each successful hit in a combo string. It is like this: Imagine if two fierces could combo together, just for examples sake, the first hit would do... say.... 100 damage, the next attack would do 80 damage because of proration. All attacks, normals, specials, supers, have proration. Because if it didn't, people would die in one or two combos.
@namman11 This all happens in a combo string, forgot to put that earlier, in case of a misunderstanding that it permanently scales. So if it did 100, after the combo was over, it would do 100 again.
Training mode only combo. You'd need 6 bars to do it because DHCs (Delayed Hyper Combos) require 3 bars, as does Shinsho (Shin Shoryuken). And the hits you do between won't get you 1 bar back.
Not entirely true, Shinku Hadoken and the Real Mega Buster only require one bar each to perform, even in DHCs. It when you are doing a Cross-Combo that requires 3 bars total to perform.
Yeah, he could, Frank it's just like an inside joke of the video, you could finish the combo with ryu's hadouken and that's it, or even use chun-li or other chars
@jluisao2 Ryu is a tad cheap as a character along with Gold Lightan, PTX-40A, Frank West, and Tekkaman Blade. Mostly because of the range that their attacks have, in particular, the Hyper Combos.
Hey Frank needs his Mega Buster mainly becasue he's a grapple character and has no defense when their is distance between the characters. Also it's not even that strong, it's a one bar super and it's not like it's hard to block it. If your gonna call characters with projectiles cheap just cut half the cast in any fighting game.
It's not a projectile. It's a beam/laser. Also, it takes up the whole horizontal part of the arena. It's only avoidable if you've managed to get behind him or block it from the startup. (Even THEN you're taking a portion of the damage)
Dude....a beam/laser is in fact a projectile and in you is go's across the screen. Your issue about the attack is stupid. Your complaining about chip damage when EVERY character has that. It's a basic game mechanic that is even stupid to argue about. If you get hit by it form the start it's your own fault.
You can use Advancing Guard in this game to reduce Chip damage and even if timed right counter attack even against supers, and chip damage is something that has always been in fighting games
There is no thing such as a cheap character, if you think he is so cheap just use him and stop complaning, there is bad programming...and sometimes that programing can lead to some serious BS but i see ur point
Look any Combo with Ryu is not impressive. He is probably one of the most unbalanced characters in the game and when you switched out with Frank all you did was Mega Buster. If anything it's a noob tactic.
lol, well i am fairly new to the game, but the damage for the combo is good and also you get to change partners without risk, besides it's viable to do in a real match and not hard to pull of, and to your point of it not being impressive, well i liked the combo and impressed me, so i uploaded, as i was saying i am fairily new with the game and this is one of the first combos that deal heavy damage that i have discovered
I don't think so, you use 3 bars for the first supper ryu uses, and then 1 more for the shinku hadouken and 1 for the real megabuster, so i think it's 5.
Anyway you can end it with a shinku hadouken and leave it like that, it's very possible in a match and does like half a bar of damage

I wish they'd port this game, why make it exclusive to a console that never gets any good fighters.

A projectile is any object propelled through space by the exertion of a force which CEASES AFTER LAUNCH.

Call it what you want, it's still stupid to complain about ranged attacks.
