  • ALL HAIL THE KING

  • This man was so ahead of his time....

  • This piece is rather epic, and a great recording! I really want to play this piece, but at the moment it's far too hard.

  • This is my favorite piece

  • he's defiantly not modest!

  • i like most of the song from him like the promenade

  • song is so good that i downloaded it from youtube!

  • @tanello2 Thank you very much my dear friend, Gerhard

  • why is he playing it so slow?

  • @taleylon11 The tempo prescribed by Mussorgsky for the first part is "Allegro alla breve. Maestoso. Con grandezza". The last part beginning bar 114 is "Meno mosso, sempre maestoso".

  • @Patibularius

    World English Dictionary: "Fat"

    4. the best or richest part of something

That way, moussorgsky is really fat :)

  • This one is one of my favorite pieces.

  • I want to play this piece so badly! Too bad it's way too hard. Maybe in another 10 or so years.. :P

  • Russian composers are the shit. Just awesome.

  • Excellent! I really enjoyed hearing this.

  • @12Racer99 Thanks a lot for your kind comment

  • That beard looks unsanitary

    Your friend Gerhard

  • COOL!!! excellent performance!!

  • @cuoylyf Thank you for sharing Gerhard's deeply fine and musicianly performance with me. I find Gerhard's interpretations to be all embracing. He is a musician through and through.

  • @PhillipLWilcher Dear Phillip,

your comment overwhelms me. Thank you so much.

    Blessings,

    Gerhard

  • Encore!!

  • Ever since the 70s I can't avoid remembering the lyrics ELP added. Makes me crazy.

  • This piece is just plain awesome. I'd love to play it someday, although it's definitely way, way too hard for any time in the near future.

  • this one is on my target, even that I've never did pieces with complex chords!

  • meraviglioso!

  • @Vesdrajo Many thanks

  • I believe the first time I heard this (orchestrated) was in an Air Force barracks in Salina, KS. I was very impressed with its majestic grandeur.

  • I think this recording is just about as great as most orchestral recordings I've heard of this. Fucking awesome :)

  • @bluetard117 Thank you very much for this compliment

  • Mussorgsky is fat

  • @jatuhcintalagi1 he's as fat as he's genial.

  • @jatuhcintalagi1 this portrait was panted just few days before his death, he suffered from alcoholism complications.

  • @jatuhcintalagi1 ahahahaha, and this is the top comment? mad...

  • it's much better in a HUGE orchestra in my opinion, we're playing it in our school bad.

  • My reaction every time I hear this movement is :) without fail. In my brief 19 years, I've never heard a solo piano performance of the movement and it's as beautiful as it is from a full orchestra

  • @aarond961 Thank you very much for this Compliment

  • @TheRekisum What do you mean? The performer name is there. I haven't changed it.

  • The "Pictures at an exhibition" it is a huge form of music. It is almost perfect. I recommend it for you, people. Chapeau bas, monsieur Mussorgsky !

  • although the portrait of him does him no good at all (looks like he's been in prison half his life) he sure was talented though, ilove the entire record. my favourite is Promenade 2 + The Old Castle

  • A great performance. Its melodious coherence is evocative of the spirit of Mussorgskij`s music at its best. Thanks for the presentation. More "Pictures" of this recording would be welcome.

  • @TheRekisum Wonderful performance my dear Gerhard Eckle, Congratulations, love ever, Isis
