Man, I'm surprised Jaworski isn't crippled right now! You got Doomsday Dallas hittin' you. You got LT hittin' you. You got Dexter Manley and Charles Mann hittin' you! NFC East was no joke!
How typical....Hegman acted like he was the big star on the play. A player with class would have instantly looked for his teammate who caused the fumble to celebrate with....
Nice hit! Probably a penalty today for roughing the pussy (I mean passer). I dreamt the '85 Bears, '86 Giants, and '83 Raiders came back to life and beat the shit out of everybody in today's NFL. Then Doug Plank speared Roger Goodall.
The bummer here was that the Cowboys offense registered a single FG all day and ended up losing 17-10. On their last drive, a Dallas receiver seemed to be interfered with in the end zone but no flag. Can't blame the refs too much when your offense only scores 3 points all day.
@Inquisitor6321 I ll take America's Team 5 Super Bowl rings, Manster SB MVP, Pro and College Hall of Fame and you can take you that win.....Now, let's talk about SCORE BOARD!!!
This was Tom Brookshier's last season as color man w Pat Summerall. In 81 Mr Madden came aboard and thus began one of the greatest play by play/color commentator partnerships in history IMO. Madden/Summerall are the soundtrack to my NFC football youth. I'm a Giants fan but Madden and Summerall doing all those great games from the NFC rivalries in the 80s (Skins, 49ers, Giants, Bears, Cowboys)
This was a Dallas defense during the 1980 season. Players were lean and in shape, not like today's Cowboys, FAT, SLOW, UNDISCIPLINED and not well coached. A different era for sure, a better era, today it's just a business with piss poor player quality.
i think this game was played on a saturday philly was really jack up for this one but i think dallas prevail there was a music group that played anit no stopping now it was harold melvin and the blue notes

I saw a photo after John Dutton put Jaws on the turf, the ref threw a flag and walked and Dutton was screaming at him.

If this was 1980 the Eagles won the game 17-14

Nobody fucked with the Manster. Everytime there was a fight on the field, White was in the middle of it or running off the sidelines to get in it.

The Eagles have been around for over 60 years and still have not won a super bowl. And they won't win one with Mike Vick or Andy Reid.
DAS603 3 months ago
@DAS603 Right - Reid obviously has to be fired while they still have Vick and a shot

Randy White is the one who forced Jaworski into the booth to call ESPN MNF. He got tired of seeing randy white in his grill twice a year.

randy white would have gotten a flag for "roughing' 15 yards penalty and a 1st down for the egles lol

I believe he was selected right before Walter Payton in the draft. Pretty good draft class!

The Manster. Too bad the Cowboys didn't clone him. He was the best.

i wish randy white would show up on MNF and sack jaworski again. Guy has to be the worst announcer in MNF history!

Randy White was the meanest dude to ever wear the star. He will always be a Cowboys legend.

Sacks are not the important what the fuck??!!!???
mriley858 5 months ago 2
@mriley858 Sacks weren't kept as an official stat in the NFL until 1982.

If I'm not mistaken, sacks weren't "officially" tallied until c. 1982 or so, so maybe that's what the commentator meant.

I was wrong. '77 Waters had a defensive TD.

I believe that was '77 or '78..

@fmarzin Yes, that was in 1980. In what was yet another failed Super Bowl year.
