Could Ron Paul be any less charismatic? I can sort of get on board with what he says, but if he could only schmooze the voters somehow, he might have gotten farther than he did. He comes off as an angry old fart.

I remember reading a poll one time that 10% of women polled admitted they voted for Bill Clinton back in the 90s because he was more "handsome" than his opponent. When people vote in such shallow ways, we need more than just ideas to win. Say what you want about how things SHOULD be, but the fact is that that's not how they are.

@luissantoyo27 The problem with Ron Paul and his ideas are they aren't talking points, he has to thoroughly try to explain each of his ideas within the allotted time which makes him fumble around and talk fast because his brain is thinking faster than he can talk with the tremendous knowledge he has. I think his best times during debates is when he picks apart the the other candidates logic because I believe that is more effective in catching votes.

I feel So stupid now. I never heard of Ron Paul until after the election. I paid no attention to any Republican debates or candidates because as a long time Republican I felt severely let down by the Bush administration. It seemed the only way to correct the mess was to get them out and put a Democrat in, so that's the way I voted. I hope Ron Paul runs again in 2012. Not that Obama has been bad but NO ONE has said what Ron Paul has. Thee man has guts.
