you had somebody shield repping you. i noticed that effects were turned off. thats why the beam or whatever was not seen

You had full shields, but when you undocked it didn't show, just lag/a bug. When you take damage however it fixes itself. That's why you're shields were a tiny bit damaged when it looked like they recharged about all the way.
