When you in Delayed Entry.. You don't just sit around and pick your nose.. The Marine Corps has "special" events for you to participate in while you are waiting for your ship date to arrive.. These Poolee functions will/should break you physically (if you have good recruiters), but they very much motivate you for boot camp.. which makes the waiting suck even worse..
Those of you who are thinking about joining.. I would join 100% knowing you want the Corps and get a quick ship date.. Because after almost 6 months of being in the DEP (Delayed Entry Program).. you get tired of waiting, and want to ship the heck out!!!... For me.. I signed up on June 1st.. and ship out January 17, 2012.. If it wasn't for finishing college I would of shipped out sooner
