  • GOD DAMN ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

  • perfeito

  • Ritchie blackmore looks like a satanic pilgrim. awesome.

  • Ritchie comes in too early at 3:05 and screws it all up... Ian: OOOOOOOOH! lol

  • Does anybody know if Blackmore was pro-Cromwell back during the civil war? That hat makes me suspicious.

  • That's a HAT!

  • I luvs me some DP (double entendre intended)...

    : )

  • I wonder if ritchie ever found any witch's ...i bet he did !

  • ritchie u're my fuckin' hero

  • Видеть их всех вместе ...класико...

  • Зашибись

  • who thinks this is the best organ solo ? I do

  • This is how a Strat should sound. A Hammond sounds perfect thru a Marshall.

  • I can really get this song mixed up wth Bloodsucker >.<

  • O my LORD !!!

  • I love that organ solo! LORD!!!

  • jon's the man

  • King Jon with short hair??? but it`s an awesome vid anyway:)

  • 3.05 blackmore too much in advance with the riff and Lord loses himself...ahaha, great as well even when they are making mistakes...

  • Love Ritchie's hat.Only he could pull that off, though.

  • Yeah, the Pilgrim look never really quite took off AORMETALGORE.

    lawl...

  • Oh, so that's how you play it!

  • sounds a little like 'into the fire'

  • They stuffed up" take 1" at the end here and did it all again for "take 2' which is even cooler sounding. Its all good, can't go wrong with Purple.

  • this is simply awesome! great quality and color!

  • Best hat ever...

  • Take 2 of this is the perfection one is looking for.......

  • So weird... Jon has a white Hammond? Where id he get that? Or the people painted it like that for the special effects?

  • LinkBulletBill: You're the first I've seen ever to comment that white Hammond. It seemed to crop up a lot during '71, allthough I've never seen it commented or explained anywhere. If photographic evidence is to be trusted, he even had that organ in the Montreux hotel when they cut Machine Head (nov. '71). Seriously, I've only seen that particular organ on film/photos from '71, never before and never since... weird!

  • Trust me, I know more weird stuff, well for you it would be fucked up shit videos... lol

I love Hammonds (that's why it caught me eyes)... and a white one... So interesting! What type? Because usually I can tell by its cabinet but, this is a white one... Weird cabinet, and it's written "JON LORD" on it... Was it a custom by Jon Lord? Is it a B3? C3? A100?

  • It certainly started life as a console (B- or C3 or a A100), 'cause it has two full-size manuals and everything else that signifies a console model. But that cabinet is certainly not standard. I know that you could (and still can) get certain people to build new housings for them that were more compact and thus easier to handle on the road. I suspect that's the deal with this one.

  • k, thanks!

But I'm sticking the beautiful wood cabinet of a B3! lol!

Maybe a white one for live performances and traveling, but in my home! The beautiful B3...

  • This is just the rehearsal. They play "no no no" again 1 minute after this. Their rehearsing for a TV appearance. The blue in the backround is appears as the image of a fireball.

  • They may have Fucked it up at the end. But it still kicks ass.

  • Total train wreck at the end of this video. There is an incredible unison run at the end of the solo. Sounds like Blackmore was a bit ahead of Jon Lord and they just stopped playing.

  • wow, this is some very rare stuff, didn't hear this song for a long time...thanks for uploading...does anyone have video of made in japan 1972,does that even exist

  • yes....very little video footage from Mij exists, and its on DP's new DVD: History from 1968-1975

  • thanks God, I was there when everything begun...

  • Check under - Deep Purple Rare rehearsal footage Bit Club No No No

  • Dimagg1973 posted an excerpt from the rehersal fllowing this footage.

  • yes yes yes

  • Ritchie 'The Pilgrim' Blackmore

  • Nice to see that these good musicians could have failed too....

And to all listeners: Have you all heard from what Ian Gillian sings???

  • what?

  • Gillan singing about "the powers that be" f**kin' over the little people. Timeless!

  • Ritchie always has some sweet hats, but this is definitely my favorite. Oh, and the song is cool, too.

  • no sarcasm here, the ending was badass

  • This looks just like the Beat Club video of the same song, but it sounds a bit different. Anyone know what's up with that?

  • This is a rehearsal from earlier in the day. Awesome! I'm grinning from ear to ear - it's better than the final version that was broadcast.

  • Awesome, thanks for the info

  • Ok, we all know the band is amazing and the music is unbelievable, but I can't get over how AWESOME Ritchie's hat is!

  • Guys My band opened twice for these guys in April 1969 ..I was 18 and had just bought my B3 5 months before...John blew up both my leslies,,,hey he couldv

just as well blown the B...I was totally

    mezmerized ..it changed my life.

Richi played thru 2 100w Marshals..

    bass thru same..john play'd lesies (2) mic'd thru the 5th Marsh....

  • What was your group called and where'd you open with them?

  • Jon the Lord of Hammond's

  • anymore BEAT CLUB videos!!!

  • Awesome!!!!

  • Is the date of this video January 9, 1971 or September 1, 1971. I know the month and day can be either the first or second number depending on the dating system used.

  • It is Septembber 1, 1971; "Beat Club" by Radio

    Bremen, (West)-Germany.

  • Jon Lord rocks so hard!

  • @seb538835 "REALLY"? What about the man in the tophat? He probably rocks just abit harder.

  • Ian Gillan is the best, forever !

  • adonde esta lo que queda del video?

  • You're right. This version is better, but not as good as the album cut. Ritchie is in his sourcerer's costume. Must have been Halloween.

  • It's on a DVD called "Classics In Rock" with "Highway Star" and "Hallelujah". Easy to find.

  • Actually no. This clip isn't on that DVD. It is an alternate take without background effects.

  • So true i have that DVD and on that the jam plays totally different in speed and groove. The one ive seen is so much longer and polished. This song and "In to the fire" , Hell the whole damn Fireball album sounded better LIVE. If they would of put it down on a record like this it probably would have sold more.

  • What's this DVD? wanna buy it!

  • There is an upcoming official 2DVD set called "Deep Purple - History, Hits &Highlights " released in June 2009 ; this and other great rarities are on it !!

  • Thank you for this superb and rare video.

Deep Purple in their prime. Heavy rock funky blues style, just loove it!

  • rare vid, clearly a private session then stopped. Blackmore has a good taste for funky here, that funky blues which he played in the Stormbringer album later on.

  • amazing song

    yeaah

  • Thank you for this unique video. A take they did not use at the time, how could you find it?
