Yes, and born in NYC. There was a huge influx of Jews from Europe into New York during the Second World War (escaping Nazi occupation). I went to Europe a few years back & when I got off the train in Holland I couldn't believe the size of the people, even the women towered over me by a mile. Also, they had very large hands, feet, heads. Hence, my assumption.
