the thing i like about the versa is that it has the attached keyboard thing and with me i get bored with my phone easily so its cool you can have the dare then you have the attached keypad which makes it like two different phones!

i have the dare and i got a supper thick screen protetor and if you are going to get one i recomed that you go with a thin one it is just way to sticky but it has come in handy and get the dare if you are a texter the versa is just not as good so to say . DARE not VERSA !

Do you have a two-year contract? Because you'd have to pay the full price for the dare which is in the 200's. Otherwise you'll have to wait until your contract expires, then you're eligible for an upgrade.

This was SO helpful. I'm getting a new phone next week that i'll be locked into for 2 years and it was a toss up between the two. I didn't like the Dare only because it was too big for my liking. Versa is the perfect size, I don't web browse or listen to music on my phone, just texts, calls, etc. The camera is better than my phone now so that isn't the issue. I just like having my phone fit in my pocket. Plus I have tiny hands so texting won't be an issue. Thanks for this!

Personally i think people are too picky, the virtual keyboard on the Versa is amazing, and it you mess up a letter big deal? just hit the back button to erase it. whereas the screen is a little small for my web browsing, the versa is a solid phone and is my pick over the versa

I have a Dare, but I'm interested in the Versa. What I would do is use the Versa as my phone, because texting on the Dare is a NIGHTMARE. The touchscreen on the Dare is JUST AS BAD as the Versa, but I would keep the Dare as a camera and mp3 player since you can plug regular headphones in it. But that qwerty backplate on the Versa is a MUST for entering in data.

i got the samsung glyde about 2 months ago and shortly after i got it, i noticed the touchscreen was just completely horrible, it would hit something on the opposite edge of the phone. *I did not drop it once* and i went and they gave me a new one, and now this new one I'm noticing the same problem. I really just don't think i can wait till 2 more years with this phone and i don't want to pay to break the contract and start a new one...any suggestions?

i like both phones honestly alot, my friend has the dare and i have tryed txting and its really hard compared to qwerty keypads like the versa. Versa is faser and in my opinion has a better touch screen(and lets not forget its better for games). Overall, go with the versa... LG wouldent make a more recent phone worse then a phone made years ago, think about it.

I have had both phones. I had the Dare for about a month. I liked it but it was so slow, and hard to text on. I got the LG Versa & it was SO much better. the touch screen is great, internet is great, and so is texting w and without the keyboard. ALSO, on the versa, when you turn it sideways, the screen turns. Unlike the dare. GET the versa, its a really good phone

LG Dare overall is a bit better the touch screen on Dare is way more responsive and stuff, but the VErsa has a bir better of operating system but basically same features so id want the Dare. But I myself am getting the voyager because its cheaper.

I would go with the versa, when i first got mine, i was so happy it had the attachable keyboard cuz touch screens are harder to txt on any phone, including the dare. with the versa, you have the option of the keyboard, which is why i think it is a better idea. cuz its much easier with the keyboard. but with any touch screen it is hard to type at first, which is why i love the idea that if i want a keyboard, i can have one, or take the keyboard off and have a regular touch phone.

I have dropped the Dare on many occasions. It's gets heavy usage at work - drawing pad, camera, etc, and the camera ended up breaking every time the phone dropped. Always a "Camera Start Error". Then, BACK TO THE STORE to exchange it again and again and again because of this. The phone is fragile as all hell.

wow - I can't believe people who OWN a Dare are actually supporting it. Verizon had to replace 4 of them for me because they kept freezing up. The phone is so glitchy it is unbelievable. They finally gave me a completely different device, the LG Versa. I had the Dare for over a year and hated it from about 3 weeks in. The LG Versa is much better in my opinion.
