It may be a little late, I'm afraid, as my message to mondocrat, 777antzon (below) indicates. No matter the politics of the owners of YouTube, the Friends of Israel and Zionism are a formidable force and I doubt that one law action would put them off their aims by even a millimetre. I write and I speak about things that I see as dangerous to myself and my children. I would back a lawsuit on anti-censorship, but I would not have the expertise or energy to be able to direct it.
I live in Thailand, and filing anything from here would be extremely difficult and expensive. If someone feels strongly enough about setting it up with a human rights lawyer or organization in the States, I'll go along with it, but I'm not going to spend time on that myself; its what they want me to do. When I filed an appeal in a tiny box that allowed me only a couple of sentences, I was, like always, sent an 'appeal denied' e-mail. I had 2 accts(chromelung66& iggy6) both shut down over these same false claims. Of all the dozens of subjects I deal with, it's always any video that makes jews or Israel possibly look bad, are flagged. No other subject brings out the fake flaggings.

Anthony, you make a strong case here - and I'm no legal eagle - but it seems to me that there is another relevant issue which is not really covered in this video.
Even if it could be demonstrated by Mr Khan that he has ownership over the material in question, you could potentially argue that your video was produced for the purposes of comment and critique, both of which are deemed legitimate under the terms of fair use of "copyrighted" material. That's under US law, anyway.
Thank you for your comment, but the bias is against the alleged infringer, rather than against the person who may well be, or in this case, certainly is, making a false claim. It would be too time consuming to chase down such anomalies, by resorting to the law, but the support that I have received seems to indicate that I have made some people aware of this issue, and exposed a few more of those who make cheating a national, religious and idealistic pastime.

You are not being harassed by YouTube. They are following the law, the DMCA clause of the Copyright Act. Nobody is censoring you and there is no conspiracy. The problem is with the DMCA law itself not YouTube. If you want your video restored, you must file a counternotice. Furthermore you must provide accurate contact details so the people who claimed copyright infringement may persue you for legal action if they so chose.
There are such things as common sense and moral commitments. The law is often inadequate, and must be interpreted by people who can either do the right thing or act according to the absolute letter of the law and end up acting unfairly. YouTube knows this person supplied misinformation, but is doing the wrong thing by not ignoring his claim. There is no law that says they should continue asking for information from the accused when they know the accusation is spurious.
@alawson911 so section 512(c)(1)(C) of the copyright act does not require YouTube to take swift action upon receipt of a copyright complaint? I was not aware of that. Thanks for clearing that up.
In all seriousness though, file your counternotice and get your video reinstated. All of us have to deal with bogus copyright claims, it is part of being on YouTube. I have had 3 of them filed against me in the past 4 months.
If you have watched the video or read the notes: Judge Fogel: "Copyright holders cannot order a deletion of an online file without determining whether that posting reflected "fair use" of the copyrighted material." It is not apparent that YouTube have made any effort to check with the accuser if "fair use" does not apply, they simply removed the video, which goes against the 2008 ruling in a California court. On principle I will not reveal my personal details to a liar. Would you?

Google should review their conduct and manage the complaints on the copyright issue in light of this ruling of the learned judge. The current way of doing is open to abuse and indeed unfair to the accuser. Mr. Lawson, I haven't checked, but I assume that supplying false information on a copyright-infringement complaint, such as a false telephone number, nullifies that complaint or at least automatically triggers a request to the complainant from the YouTube Team for a proper number with deadline or the complaint is automatically dropped & the video immediately reinstated. The censorship problems with Youtube arise from what I assume is its system. Presumably the moderators are numerous and spread all over the world. Not as many assume in one big office but working individually I think you will find but maybe with group leaders or something. Google just axes you with no explanation or recourse other than to appeal with no details as to what it was they found you at fault for. I don't know if it counts, but i've experienced some strange problem with the youtube private messaging: sometimes messages goes, sometimes not, sometimes i don't receive response from people surely would respond me or who respods doeen't seem the person i've sent the private message to. I fear the private messaging mechanism of youtube is VERY VULNERABLE TO HACKING, i think a review of the system is needed. Also, i experience the same problem with the "comment search" fuction.

YouTube is not interested in Copyright Protection... Every video that I have uploaded to my Youtube account is from other people's Youtube accounts and it is all Copyrighted material. Youtube, just like Yahoo Answers, is all about censorship.
This is a problem, but there is no indication that it is done with malicious intent. Youtube must get thousands of claims every day so the intial process is most likely automated (video shutdown and sending notification) and no real person touched the case until Mr. Lawson sent in a respons (hence no reason given in the first notification). It would simply take to much time to have employes investigating every single claim.
The rest seems like a result of a poorly written but strict policy.
A few days before Israel launched the Israel cast lead operation in Gaza the ADL & YouTube launched a partnership to fight "video abuse", that's probably why many videos exposing Israel's crimes were removed from YT at that time and continue to get removed to this day.

In the sense you mean "this medium is way out of my expertise" so it is out of mine. I know about writing, editing, voice over, etc., but not much else. It took me days to figure out how to upload videos, but when there is a need, one hast to try.

I empathize with you. Youtube has quite a track reckord for failing to abide by it's own guidelines.
Several of my friends (and myself) were also offended by youtube's aiding and abetting a sleazy identity thief/internet stalker. We have police reports, IC3 Reportsand a claim of Reckless Endangerment against youtube for knowingly providing a forum for a pond scum identity thief.
I hope you get screen shots of their dangerous harassment against you and file IC3 reports.

If someone feels strongly enough about setting it up with a human rights lawyer or organization in the States, I'll go along with it, but I'm not going to spend time on that myself; its what they want me to do. When I filed an appeal in a tiny box that allowed me only a couple of sentences, I was, like always, sent an 'appeal denied' e-mail. I had 2 accts(chromelung66& iggy6) both shut down over these same false claims. Of all the dozens of subjects I deal with, it's always any video that makes jews or Israel possibly look bad, are flagged. No other subject brings out the fake flaggings.

Anthony, you make a strong case here - and I'm no legal eagle - but it seems to me that there is another relevant issue which is not really covered in this video.
Even if it could be demonstrated by Mr Khan that he has ownership over the material in question, you could potentially argue that your video was produced for the purposes of comment and critique, both of which are deemed legitimate under the terms of fair use of "copyrighted" material. That's under US law, anyway.

Thank you for your comment, but the bias is against the alleged infringer, rather than against the person who may well be, or in this case, certainly is, making a false claim. It would be too time consuming to chase down such anomalies, by resorting to the law, but the support that I have received seems to indicate that I have made some people aware of this issue, and exposed a few more of those who make cheating a national, religious and idealistic pastime.

You are not being harassed by YouTube. They are following the law, the DMCA clause of the Copyright Act. Nobody is censoring you and there is no conspiracy. The problem is with the DMCA law itself not YouTube. If you want your video restored, you must file a counternotice. Furthermore you must provide accurate contact details so the people who claimed copyright infringement may persue you for legal action if they so chose.

There are such things as common sense and moral commitments. The law is often inadequate, and must be interpreted by people who can either do the right thing or act according to the absolute letter of the law and end up acting unfairly. YouTube knows this person supplied misinformation, but is doing the wrong thing by not ignoring his claim. There is no law that says they should continue asking for information from the accused when they know the accusation is spurious.

If you have watched the video or read the notes: Judge Fogel: "Copyright holders cannot order a deletion of an online file without determining whether that posting reflected "fair use" of the copyrighted material." It is not apparent that YouTube have made any effort to check with the accuser if "fair use" does not apply, they simply removed the video, which goes against the 2008 ruling in a California court. On principle I will not reveal my personal details to a liar. Would you?

Google should review their conduct and manage the complaints on the copyright issue in light of this ruling of the learned judge. The current way of doing is open to abuse and indeed unfair to the accuser. Bear in mind that some people can cry the copyright infringement and then all of the suddens the vids vanish in the thin air.

I have had THREE channels removed based on false copyright infringements, when I know for a FACT I had none. Just some material that falls under the fair use. You are lucky you got a notification from Jewtube Anthony, usually they just delete the account without warning. Even when I emailed them inquiring as to why, they wouldn't even tell me.

Mr. Lawson, I haven't checked, but I assume that supplying false information on a copyright-infringement complaint, such as a false telephone number, nullifies that complaint or at least automatically triggers a request to the complainant from the YouTube Team for a proper number with deadline or the complaint is automatically dropped & the video immediately reinstated. Let us remember ONE thing- YOU signed a LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT with YouTube. YouTube didn't join up with you, YOU joined up with YouTube. That contract can, will, and DOES trump all other "legal law" UNLESS...and ONLY unless, they breach the contract terms, or YOU breach the contract terms. The censorship problems with Youtube arise from what I assume is its system. Presumably the moderators are numerous and spread all over the world. Not as many assume in one big office but working individually I think you will find but maybe with group leaders or something. Given its penchant for organisation and astroturfing generally the Zionist horde would ensure they swamp such a moderation forum, no doubt even getting early advice of impending hiring drives for example.

I recently got some kind of yellow warning about infringement of copyright but i dont make videos . There was also a message saying that they could close my account for no reason Maybe it was just a virus I just ignored it

you think this is bad, try being a google affiliate/adsense user outside of youtube. Google just axes you with no explanation or recourse other than to appeal with no details as to what it was they found you at fault for. Even if you have nothing to do with the infringement, they don't care. They axe you, and take your money earned. Google doesn't give a squat about you or anyone else here. They just want your money. Google has turned this into their huge ad server and moneymaker.

At least it's out there - a few thousand people may have seen it. A few dosen may have understood it. A couple may have comprehended it and allowed themselves to consider the implications. As much as I think the video was well done, I don't think it will change a thing. For this movement to have a chance of going anywhere, teamwork and true sense of community would be neccesary. I don't know if it counts, but i've experienced some strange problem with the youtube private messaging: sometimes messages goes, sometimes not, sometimes i don't receive response from people surely would respond me or who respods doeen't seem the person i've sent the private message to. I fear the private messaging mechanism of youtube is VERY VULNERABLE TO HACKING, i think a review of the system is needed. Also, i experience the same problem with the "comment search" fuction.

This is a problem, but there is no indication that it is done with malicious intent. Youtube must get thousands of claims every day so the intial process is most likely automated (video shutdown and sending notification) and no real person touched the case until Mr. Lawson sent in a respons (hence no reason given in the first notification). It would simply take to much time to have employes investigating every single claim.
The rest seems like a result of a poorly written but strict policy.
