I don't dislike Joss Whedon, but I think Yahtzee made a really good point which um, sorry I don't know who the other guy is, Matt? Matt I don't think responded to that point adequately. Just by pointing out a few exceptions doesn't actually detract from Yahtzee's argument that Whedon's character voices are often interchangeable, and really just a channel for his writer's voice.

I mean, I don't know how much Whedon you've actually seen, but I have a hard time believing that if you actually have watched all of is shows that you would think that all of the character's lines are basically interchangeable.

The series was fundamentally flawed in execution. Why did none of the vampires carry guns? Buffy can know all the "kung-fu"(not really kung fu or any martial arts...pisses me off a martial arts movie fan) in the world, and it won't save her from me if I got a Tec-9. And if they know that the one Slayer is in Sunnydale, why don't they just, y'know...leave?

I liked firefly though mostly for the concept. But I can tell shoddy, lazy, writing from miles away.

There was a bit of a mix up with sturgeon's law there. Yahtzee said 98% of everything is crap instead of 90. The other guy had it right and said "that gives you 8%".
