Building my core i5 gaming computer

I got the same board and a i5 760 and nvidia gtx 460. i got f9 bios and my cpu is overclocked to 3.65. my max temps for hottest core with prime is 62 using hyper heatsink. stock sucks. My idle temps between 30 and 35c i got a score for prime205 32mb test i get 9.8 seconds. So how is your board holding up>? my only complaint is the slow boot to windows. My ram is G.SKILL Ripjaws 1333 7-7-7-21 timings runs nice. i overlocked it a bit also.

@ken0176 Not if you do it correctly. And if you're going to be using the stock cooling with stock settings then the temps are going to be the same as they would be if you were overclocking, so you're cpu's life isn't going to be extended at all anyway.

Got a power problem with the same PSU and the same Motherboard.

Apparently a power issue.

So, basically.. along with the 24 Pin on the PSU there is a 4 Pin.. Are you suppose to put that one in somewhere?

@Zeachrome Well, make sure that the 24 pin is not split so it makes a 20 and a 4 pin. The psu makers do that sometimes because some old motherboards only have 20pin connections. And remember that there is a 8 pin cable that needs to be plugged in to the upper left of the CPU.

@marcuswest Det är ju så att alla nätaggregat har en fläkt men man kan ju utan problem vända på psu:n men då måste ju datorlådan ha ett ventilationshål på undersidan för annars får inte nätagget nån luft. Fläkten på nätagget suger ju in lut i det för att kyla det och den luften åker sedan ut på baksidan. Det samma gäller grafikkortet så det borde inte vara några stora problem.

Do you have a budget? How much are you willing to spend?

For a gaming system that's affordable I would probably have like 800.00 on hand, and I would go with AMD instead.

If price doesn't matter then Intel is the way to go.

I don't know what price you have on those items you listed, but it looks good... I would probably add an H50 for cooling, and SSD for my operating system.

@Dyallo1988 Jag tycker att du ska ta ett annat chassi och corshairs psu istället, du kommer ändå att använda alla sladdar så lägg inte pengar på en modulär psu och chassit är faktiskt ganska dåligt

I agree the 'moon roof' i think they call it is a waste of time unless the whole inside was lit up like a christmas tree. And I was told you can just make your own cable management wholes if you wanted to go that far.

@vacklinge i got a 600 case and a core i5 700... info, there is a dust filter infront.. inside where the optional fans go... i recoment a cooler master v8, i use it in my system, and i over clock my i5 up to 3.7 Ghz... and the temp went up to 70 C and here in the Philippines is a very hot country.. if ill put my CPU in a air conditoned room, i think i can over clock it up to 4 Ghz just using V8.. and your right, antec should have put cable management holes...

Looks great man! Got to Love that case! You should get an blue LED fan for the Side of the case. I really like how your MOBO and RAM are blue. Didn't take long for you get the new computer. I ended up removing the plastic grate over the intake fans where your Hard drives sit. I did it so you could see the fans better.
