Things like "Please don't leave me I love you baby Oh you're so great" yeah like those lyrics.... Can anybody relate to that? Now, try again: "Don't you ever miss me? Don't you ever miss meat? Don't you ever mince meat?" So much more relatable! Not because I've ever cut off my tongue or my hair or said "Do you ever mince meat?" but because this song so perfectly captures that absolute insanity of losing someone. Way better that "Baby I miss you come back" EVER will.

She begins to sing about a dream she is having about her estranged love, and it seems by the use of partying and a "VIP" sticker on his jacket, he changed, something happened to them where he just fell away from her, maybe thought he was better; something changed in their relationship

They present a contrast in clothing when she is trying to be with him, which might be a metaphor for how he is wasting his life partying while she is expressing herself creatively (rags vs pointe shoes), he just conintually pushes her away (hitting the snooze).

It is " The definition of insanity is doing the sme thing over and over again and expecting different results". The quote is actually attributed to Albert Einstien though I think what with "you were in my dream nursing on a glass teat" and " it was a party you were sucking liquor" I think she is likely talking about this guy who is an alcoholic( or problem drinker) .
