  • Dark matter is Veigars spell xd no just kidding

  • @XerkoGames u mean Veigar's ability

  • @XerkoGames u mean Veigar's ability

  • I stole dark matter from Zeromus :)

  • Dark matters are really dim matters I suppose. Like a cloud of small density of atoms and subatomic particles. According to Newton, since they have mass, they do cause gravity.

  • THIS MAN IS THE RE-INCARNATION OF ARISTOTLE IN ASIAN FORM... UNFORTUNATELY FOR TODAY'S SCIENCE IT HAS FORCED ITSELF (ILLOGICALLY AND UNJUSTIFIABLY AND PERHAPS ARBITRARILY) TO NOT INCLUDE PHILOSOPHY AND METAPHYSICS AS A STANDARD CONSTITUENT OF ITS PROCESSES. DEMOCRITUS SAYS SOMETHING ABOUT DARK MATTER.... 7 ORDERS OF DIMENSIONS WOULD BE MORE STABLE THAN 11.

  • @DimitrisMPapadakis MY CAPS LOCK KEY IS BROKEN TOO. I'M SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. I UNDERSTAND YOUR PAIN.

  • @DimitrisMPapadakis u no yell at me

  • i would love to solve this but in order to do that we need to find out how the universe will be without dark matter in it

  • This is so perplexing to contemplate.

  • Dark matter is gravitational pull between two massive galaxy. Lets say I have two magnets (which will represent two parallel galacies) one on top and one on bottom, and i will put a nail between them since magnetic pull (that represents gravitational pull) between two magnets are same the nail will stay in the middle of those nails that 's the same way how dark matter and gravity between two massive objests work and don't forget the nail is still hanging in the dark matter.....

  • What about every particle, bar dark-matter etc etc, in our universe is quantum-ly entangled with a matching particle of dark matter?

  • I wish I had a fraction of the mind of Stephen Hawking, so I could snag one of those Nobel Prizes. -_-

  • He made it sound like a homework question.

  • CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

  • 1) pause the vid

    2) wait a couple of secs and resume it

    3) press numbers 1-9 on your keeyboard ESPECIALLY 8 !

    enjoy :P

  • that sound scares the shit out of me at 0:10

  • @SuperRustyTrumbone It was A ninja running past the camera.

  • @jackbotman - You don't hear Ninjas.

  • @Tridecalogism True :/, :o then what the hell was it? :o

  • @jackbotman - Candlejack, probab-

  • @SuperRustyTrumbone i read your comment and still jumped.

  • @SuperRustyTrumbone Thank you.

  • @SuperRustyTrumbone sorry i dont get it..?

  • @MrWarlock616 turn up you speakers at full when watching this clip, and at 10 seconds, you will get it. ok

  • How in the hell is "Denise Austin: Abs & Buns Pilates Workout" related to this?

  • The parallel universes of Hugh Everett are individual wave-centers within our universe overlapping and thus contributing less and less to each others in-wave amplitude with increasing distance.

Thus, less wave interaction, less energy exchange with distance.

Thus, Galaxies are not flying away from one another, at a million miles an hour from a big bang, or any magical spooky dark energy.

Gravitational push' is why galaxies form jets at their centers! Simply because there is no place else to go!

  • A magnet is a double charged gravity bar! (If opposites did attract, then the poles would be at the center and not at the ends!

An equal+/-opposite reaction to positron in-waves!

Just like water receding from the shoreline into the bass of the wave-particle the greater the mass or energy forming+/-breaking at the crest the greater the electron out-wave reaction.

Experiments show that the conversion of matter into energy through its antimatter brings about gamma rays with exact opposite momentum.

  • I had to watch more thank once to understand dark matter.

    Cheers again kaku.

  • If space moves across the universe does that mean that both of the universes are govererned by the same time since timespace is a single thing? That would mean that all universes are vibrating at the same frequency and that means they move in unison thus they cannot seperate or collide disproving that string theory has any ground.

  • @nikkap1ease... People like you are the reason the human race needs to be wiped out... The races, and the world we live in needs to be united and it will never happen because of minds like yours.

  • hremmmm.......hard to get an answer.

  • hremmmm.......hard to get an answer.

  • Dark matter. matter is anything that takes up space and has mass.

I think it's safe to say that another word for dark matter is "Nigger"

  • @NikkaP1ease wow, just wow

  • mind = blown

  • conclusion: Dark matter is invisible. Where's my nobel prize?

  • HI! Do you mean that the univers its flat? Like the anciet people used to think about the heart!

  • dark matter is a figment of the imagination. Or invisible alien spaceships. Pls give me nobel prize.

  • It is my hypothesis that dark matter and dark energy are just another set of variables (hedge factors) stuck into the equations of relativity to make them work on the galactic scale. This is not such a crazy idea. Scalability is a problem throughout the realms of physics. Quantum only looks at sub atomic particles, Newton works under the Earth's influence, Einstein suits the purpose to travel in our solar system yet fails to accurately predict galactic or universal events without extra bits.

  • If I were a lady I would be so hot for Michio Kaku

  • Dark matter = parallel matter ?

  • so god is a printer?

  • This is why we havent or contacted with Aliens :P Their bodies are made with Dark Matter

  • He's still wrong though; strings don't exist. They only appear to exist. Space is fully kinetic. They need to translate my theory if they want unification using math. Only my projectively geometrical approach can encompass the true meaning of space/time anyway. Euclid has no bearing on reality. Einstein implied this in his dying last words; "Everything is relative."

  • MICHIO KAKU MICHIO KAKU MICHIO KAKU

  • I have new findings on this. Been writing my theory about dark manner and gravity.

  • I believe Dark Matter is a type of energy. It is a Soquid just like a Wendy's Frosty. If you drop a cherry into a Frosty, it will sit there. If you push it down, it will stay in the Frosty where you put it. Now, a Frosty can melt, but Dark Matter doesn't. It's always cold like Plasma. This energy has its own gravity, but only a collosal amount of dark matter can effect planets, etc. The planets essentially sit in Dark Matter. The weight of a planet helps suck down small particles.

  • @WebVManReturns The reason Dark Matter cannot be seen is because unlike matter we can see, it does not reflect light. Therefore, there is really two kinds of matter. Matter which reflects light and matter which does not. Light itself is able to travel between dark matter particles and that is why we can see light. It comes from the sun, travels between Dark Matter particles, then reflects off of the Earth, Moon, etc.

  • @WebVManReturns Dark Matter is seen (actually, not seen) all over space. It does not generate light so it does not generate heat. Therefore, Space is cold due to the fact dark matter does not have the ability to produce light. When God made the universe there was only Dark Matter and Himself, a being composed entirely of light matter. He created light itself which was an anti-dark matter as Earth could not be seen without light. Therefore, there is matter, light matter, and dark matter.

  • One of the best speeches I ever hear. Thank you professor!

  • Raiden knows all.

  • I like Michio Kako, he doesn't talk down to people. unlike some theoretical physicists who think themselves in a parallel universe to the "ordinary" un-educated, floating above our common universe and weighing heavily..

  • @fathomtheuniverse what they are, essentially ... while we "ordinary" people party or just sleep etc. they spend their time studding. This fact combined with their above averange intelligence makes them better then us and they have earned the right to talk down to "us" who can not understand things that are clear to them :D

  • @fathomtheuniverse Hahahaha. Well done!!

  • The universe is made up of 74% Dark Energy 22% Dark Matter and 4% Ordinary Matter.............We can only at this stage make educated guesses about the 96% of the universe that surrounds us.........On a school time scale we are still crawling around kindergarten.

  • Seems to me dark matter is a concentration of space/time itself in different parts of the universe. Could be why it's "invisible" but has the effect of gravity. As ordinary matter strolls along it seems as though it gets concentrated in these areas. Maybe space/time is concentrated differently throughout itself. Thought example: You have two o's: 0 0. What I'm saying is maybe one of the o's has more space/time in it than the other. Or, there is more in the top or bottom portions of the same one

  • DARK matter here i come.. if i can find you

  • Shadow people are dark matter beings often seen during sleeping paralysis.

  • I wish you could clone yourself.... So you could replace all professors in the world XD

  • 0:10 karate chop air in half!

  • Wow! How can some people troll this guy. They should watch this vid. He's got no agenda but to have everyone get into science. I'm sure he's not just pitching for physics but science as whole.

  • Dark matter is a layer of added to the system that holds the universe. Without it we would fall through everything. And dark matter isn't just in certain areas at certain amounts. Its Everywhere, but there are certain things you need to know how it interacts with the other forces of the universe first.

  • If you said ferrari, i'd probably have been more inclined to go figure it out, haha, no but still very interesting I cant get enough of this guy.

  • I think someone capable of understanding dark matter would'nt even care about Nobel's

  • With this theory proposed. easy theory on God: If there is a God, that God is just like us. Only difference: That God inhabits a Universe where the Laws of Physics are different enough for it to interact with us but we can't interact with it. So yeah...monotheists, I just fed you some fodder. Have at it.

  • My names not David!

  • This is the perspective a lot of monotheists take. In that God is in another dimension invisible to our perceptions but watching our reality (dimension) all the time. Im not religious but it's an interesting concept to explore. What if we are visible to the beings in the higher univerese but they are not detectable to us. Creepy huh.

  • dark matter is the place when there is no light like space and dark engry is what keeps us a float in the urnvirse

  • Black hole > Dark matter

  • Do alternate universes ever intersect?

  • @Rachman1337 its possible they can collide with each other. This is a possible explanation for the Big Bang. One way to explain it is to blow bubbles in a room and some of these bubbles can collide with each other resulting in a burst of both bubbles.

  • we don't see the full picture of space cause light takes time to reach us that's why we see dark matter all around us.

  • Dark matter is "light" or space that has not yet travel to us, so that's why it looks dark. cause light takes time to get to us.

  • I think dark matter is something of what dionysnew said, but the atoms are made up of protons and neutrons, its the electrons that are the small black holes.

  • i believe dark matter is different... its atoms are not composed of protons neither neutrons but micro black holes, that is why dark matter is invisible

  • @dionysnew thanks for that explanation. have you considered a phd in theoretical physics?

  • @dionysnew ...interesting

  • Human Beings have stopped evolving. Just look at reality shows like Jersey Shore and how many fans Snooki has.

    We are devolving

  • @prrao3 There is no such things as devolution.

  • @prrao3 i like the term devolving, lol.

  • @prrao3

or it could mean that there is a widening gap between the intellectuals and others

  • @prrao3

every more or less intelligent thinker of his time thought this would happen.

in fact, only the majority seems to devolve, but scientists and industry always progress.

  • @prrao3 well think about it, most unplanned childbirths come from the less educated so it's just math that dumber children are out populating the earth.

  • @CotyKelly very solid logic, if only they hadn't tainted those minds. those valuable innocent minds, think of the power in a mind that holds no prejudice and is only shown facts, no books, philosiphies, or theories to taint it, that unclouded truth may reveal alot.

  • @prrao3 That's called "devolving".

  • @Wolf78033 ...didn't he say that?

  • @YummiestGiraffe yes i was just responding to someone else's comment.

  • @Wolf78033 Sorry, I didn't realize.

  • @prrao3 When you see people like Michio Kaku, you know theres still a hope.

  • @prrao3 yeah, there is still places where people are evolving though. You gotta come ot the high class hotel resorts.

  • @prrao3 yeah but dont worry 67,409 people have watched this so maybe there is a .0000000000001% still evolving though that is very low and very sad lol

  • occultist believe there are beings living on the top of the mountains, but in other dimension. Sometime they materialise. Gnostics write there is 4th dimension above us and the 4th kind means forces, gynies (Leo Zagami). It is a spiritual issue, not scientific. Black matter = pure evil

  • Challenge accepted!!

  • stix471 that means you're so stubip ,in fact u may have dark matter inside ur head

  • Man i hate this new twitter integration into Youtube comments, i mean the Twitter guys are mainly retards, cause twitter believe it or not, is for egocentric idiots, or lame people. Every comment is so boring, and just senseless.

PLus if you see what kind of comments they post on science videos, man it's like they were just written by Brittany Spears.

  • I'm gonna give my guess on what dark matter is. Its not new matter that we just can't see. Its just the telltale sign that we don't understand gravity.

  • I <3 Science

  • What is a lier ?

  • this guys a trip and a half when your baked

  • Interesting. I've never heard it explained this way. I had only heard of dark matter as the invisible energy that fills the all gaps in the universe between each observable piece of matter and another.

  • Yeah...........but what about Dark Energy?

  • Solved~!! Dark matter is the matter of which you can not see! ~ my nobel prize awaits! ;)~

  • @netsight U got it :)

  • i started to watch this video and i was nr 45, 665. when i stopped watching it.. i was 45,670.. anyone with me here ?

  • Dark Matter is Nibbler poop

  • I like how he says "you" he has always promoted people to get in to the sciences, although I'm not sure if this guy has been bought by the elite, because some of the stuff he talks about worries me.

  • @StarCraftRaver this man is smarter than einstein and you worry about what he says?

  • @synystervancobain Nice view point, he's smart so don't worry about what he says, Hittler was also a genius.

And smarter than Einstein? that's some claim.

  • @StarCraftRaver he sees around what einstein stopped at and brings new possibilities to the table. plus yes hitler was a genius (no im not a nazi) but he had flaws to his nature of doing things. and creating a one world community is the only way to survive. a new world order if you would like to say.

  • @StarCraftRaver he's there body, by the way all u see and hear is a lie, it's been lies for 200 years now.

  • @SomeUser9753 dude youre crazy as hell

  • @synystervancobain Thank u long live IRA.

  • The origin of dark matter is imagination since it is derived from assuming the universe is only everything we can see. This is why the question is asked, "where is all of the rest of the matter in the universe?" as if we know how much there should be which is impossible since the universe could be a trillion times large than limited minds of today think it is based the science of not actually knowing.

  • Comment removed

  • did he just say i can turn rubber bands into dark matter? Who does this guy think he is?

  • @OatSkits he s talking about string theory.

  • @OatSkits so no not the rubber bands you have in mind

  • i don't wanna seem like a dick, but i'm a freshman in college and i literally thought of this. crazy to see that my ideas aren't insane.

  • @AJthemagi metoo....no really i thought of a lot of the things this guy said....

  • @AJthemagi you must be a genius. maybe one day you'll be giving these interviews! ^^

  • Units of measurement outside space? What?

  • whats on the other side of the exspanding universe?

  • give those Nobel prizes to me i know how we can find some dark matter. we need a black hole do. can we create one?

  • I love Mitchio...

  • Dark Matter = The Space between space

  • First thing I did in College is to prove that you can not have a dark object, every thing that has a temperature must emit some level of radiation. Dark Matter is bogus.

Why can't we admit we are wrong and find the error (this sound like the Ether, Einstein ended that crap, we need someone like him)

  • This is it. An inspiring theory, that can lead to many others. *like, favorite, and share* It makes perfect sense. Since there is a theory that there are 11 dimensions, the dark matter may be a way to interact with other 3rd dimension worlds, opening up to the possibility of parallel universes that we can go to.

  • I think dark matter is just the total of all the errors made in the calculation of known (visible) objects. I mean, how much of an error is made in the calculation of the mass of Black holes - and all these errors will add up and it will appear there must be something which there is not.

  • I think if u were smart enough to prove dark matter, a nobel prize would would be used as a paper weight.

  • @66ott7 or book holder

  • @66ott7

yeha. that was dark matter.. entering the screen and trying to do something this guy.. hahaha

  • @66ott7 comes with a million dollars. And if reality tv shows have taught me anything, people are willing to do anything for just 50 grand.

  • Hi there, Dark matter is a thing which our god's eye can't see or as per to your lang...were sun light can't touch also are called dark matter...i doesn't mean that earth or moon...i mean god's domain or our sun's solar system. you didn't understand what i am trying explain email :- victor.ashline@hotmail.com

  • @66ott7 easy... what makes these things called galaxies to move away than together even though there gravity? dark matter makes stuff go away...

  • @iamgig9876 I believe your thinking of antimatter.

  • What is matters? Well, it doesn't matter :p

  • Well if dark matter is from another universe then why would it have mass in this universe?

  • @SatanFang He explained that. Because Gravity is nothing but the bending of space. So Gravity would flow between both these Universes. Gravity gives matter weight. So there you have it. All explained.

  • @1123joey Fair enough.

  • Fuck, that noise at 0:10 made me jump.

  • i use to know what dark matter is, but then i took a primitive pointed projectile to the patella.

  • @kickassmage you likeeeeee to alliterate, I seeeeeeee. ;P

  • 0:09 that actually kinda scared me

  • im working on shadow matter right now i think im close

  • if this guy told me my name was actually bob and that if i shoot myself in the head with a shotgun and i would still live, i would believe him O>O

  • @stix471 dats fuuny i wud 2 lol

  • @stix471 :D

  • @stix471 theoretically its probable. In another dimension at a different time, you could have the name the name Bob, and you survived a shotgun blast to the head. the theory in my mind proves that human beings are a collective conscious, one soul separated into many different forms from the laws of gravitation and nature. I am my father, my brother, this scientist, Hitler, Obama, my brother, your sister, that random Japanese guy from across the world. Just in a different shape and form.

  • @stix471 I understand that you are being funny and sarcastic, but people who believe in God honestly behave that way.

  • @cyberslick18 nice generalization dumbass

  • @cyberslick18 haha that one guy called you a dumbass! XD

  • It happens all the time.

  • @Xanatos712 I heard it and I literally thought he was getting assassinated. I just watched way too much 24 and took an ambien and decided to you tube....

  • If it has to be experimentally verified, why the hell is super string so popular?

  • i love this guy

  • how did you physicist find dark matter?

  • @GuruEdward The Hubble telescope if I remember correctly...maybe not.

  • I think my mind just got blown

  • Dark Matter is that rare drop in final fantasy games that is used to upgrade your weapons.

  • Anyone else sense the Ether?

  • @bkroberts89 Ether from Castlevania COD?

  • For it to make sense and be a theory rather than a hypothesis (this Michio explanation is only a hypothesis) then it will need to explain either: How mass (and therefore gravity) is expressed in dimensions greater than three; or how two or more three-dimensional "planes" can coexist sufficiently that their gravity interferes with one another, yet their particles don't apparently collide, hence separation of "planes."

  • uumm, so what is matter?

  • I think in decades from now they will conclude that dark matter was a red herring & turn out to be something completely different.

  • if you look at all of the videos from this channel, the preview pictures are just michio making strange hand gestures

  • yes.. this is what i always have in mind :P with each matter there is an equal antimatter. which we could not see..
