Ahhh, Gladys brings tears into my eyes... she is great. I really like her. The hole ceremony was amazing. I was a little girl as I have seen the opening on german tv, It was breathtaking for me. Thank you so much for posting that video.

Read better what I said. I said it was the ONLY nice thing not the BEST thing about the opening ceremonies of a sucky Olympics that was capped by a bombing in what's supposed to be the most "civilized" country in the world. What else do you remember about the opening ceremonies aside from Bill Clinton with his mouth open as if he were getting a BJ from under the table? No need to use insults here?

True, Barcelona was one hell of a show overall, but Atlanta had more high points than you give it credit for. I thought the first act could have been something better, it seemed too tribal for my taste. But the beautiful music of "Summertime" coupled with the voice of James Earl Jones, and the overly-touching tribute of Martin Luther King made this a night to remember, for me at least...
