My theory is the following: the erasure of Einstein provoked the erasure of the Soviet Psychic Corps with the past two wars. This means that Yuri never aquired or mastered his mind powers, and so on, he doesn't have a reason to betray the Soviet Union. Now, this allows to Yuriko Matsui get these powers. I think that Yuri is either a soldier, officer, commander or who knows. If he never appeared in-game, surely the Empire of the Rising Sun killed him in the Imperial assault against the Soviets.

In ra3 uprising the empire joined forces with allies, but soon prince tatsu betrays but the girl commander scapes, then kenji and other commanders join foces with allies! Without einsiten, yuri is still alive!

It makes sense! According to RA 3 storyline Einstein is dead, the Soviet Union had crushed Europe by force! Their need for any psychic technologies just disappeared... so I guess Yuri emigrated to the Empire of the Rising Sun where his talent was in demand... Otherwise, where did Psionic Decimator superweapon and psi commando Yuriko came from? By the way in RA 3 Uprising Yuriko also uses mind control. In japanese , ko means daughter, so it could be yuri + Ko = yuriko or yuri's daughter.

However, theres many people named yuriko in japan.

Yep in Ra3 Uprising Yuriko does have mind controlling skill, imo i think she is more powerful than yuri.

She was actually a normal village girl who was kidnapped by the empire of the rising sun so this doctor could make her powers useful for the empire.

People who say yuri's faction is overpowered just can't beat a brutal yuri AI, His artillery units are difficult to use effectively at the best of times, he lacks anti-air infantry, his brutes are a joke they die so easily, his best tank(Mastermind) can be destroyed with a god-damn infantry spam, Bad artillery = Vulnerable to artillery. Yuri against France, grand cannons stop him getting anywhere near the base to capture and sell structures.(Ik france finally have a use)

RA 1=the first one & epic.I mean, the first are always to be remembered.

RA 2=Compared to RA 1, it is perfection... story is better and more soldiers & more strategy and Kirovs,and., well you get the idea.

RA 3=It is a RA game like never before, commands are different and it takes time to get used to it.RA 2 is the best EVAR, but I tried to play it after 5 min. of RA 3.dude no way,suddenly the graphics suck ass, then no Japanese hi tech motherfuckers. Its a strategy of new generation.

Yuri was my favourite of all time in RA, I noticed Yuriko(Yuri obviously in it) has the same power as Yuri, sending out a wave of force to obliterate nearby infantry.

These facts make me either think they got really lazy when making new heroes in RA3 or they somehow are related and Yuriko might be a clone of Yuri of some sort.

Re-make RA3 into a direct follow-up from Yuri's - Píck allied Campaign and you pick up where you left off. Same as Soviet. Or you can pick Yuri. But MENTAL OMEGA is like a real RA3.

@kaitouch95 tbh prism tanks, robot tanks and tanya owned him(I Beat a brutal yuri with only 3 prism tanks)... as for Soviets... Boris slaughtering infantry, Armour, buildings. Siege choppers take out psychic towers from long range send in the normal troops to finish him off... while yuri nulls quite a lot of units it's just like sniper and desolators nulling infantry, tank destroyers nulling armour...(well, to an extent) Yuri's Big weakness: Elite War Miners X)

The C&C sequels are always based on the GDI/Allied ending from the previous game. In Yuri's case, he was imprisoned in a psychic detention center.

The RA3 casting seemed to be more based on recruiting the hottest girls they could find compared to RA2. Kari Wuhrer and Athena Massey were great as Eva and Tanya. That plus they were under the direction of Joe Kucan. I prefer RA2 to RA3. They even ripped off the ending from RA2 and YR in this game.

Apparently, "Ko" is Japanese for "Daughter of...", so Yuriko is in fact Yuri's daughter.

No doubt in some way that EA will never bother to explain.

They say they did this as a tribute to Yuri. I say they can go fornicate themselves vigorously with a swordfish.
