Hmm this tuning sounds like F#C#F#G#G#C# It's definitely an F# open. I would first tune the guitar to EBEF#F#B and then capo the second fret then see how it sounds. C# and F# for the A and D strings is tuned up too high I think.

What melody? The guitar is tuned to an open chord and he is percussing the strings, its cool, but there isn't any melody there. Just a few accents by bending the strings.

Well put, Wasn't any real tune... just good rhythm and open tuning. Could have spiced it up with a decent melody somewhere... even vocals. Nice sound to that guitar thought....

i give props to dude because i can't play my guitar like that, but the poster's description is a little ridiculous. "unlike anything you will have heard." ....dude, erik mongrain is better than this and actually PLAYS the guitar while doing the percussions. just check out erik's performance of "airtap." beats this guy hands down.
