Bruce Cockburn is one of the greatest guitarist living today in any genre of music. I've liked this guy since first hearing him back in 1979 with "Wondering Where The Lions Are."
Great song from a collection that is only as great as the the sum of its parts! B. C. is an absolute ace, and yes I have seen the burning light VA7KSP, as I see you have, if only judging by the accompanying visuals that you have so graciously provided! So thanks to: YOU, YOU TUBE and Bruce Cockburn, you have all done very well! R. O. S. N. & S. of 54.40!
me too, this is fucking excellent. My wife has most of his albums and this is the first time i heard it done by someone other than blind willie. Thanks for vid and post, it is great.
One of my all time favorite Bruce Cockburn songs (I know its a cover but he puts his own very distinct spin and flavor into it)... He absolutely nails it, hard.
i saw this in a really small venue in a small churc and i was in the front row!!!! this guy blew my mind. im a musician in a small band and i've decided that this is how i want to play from now on. this guy must be one of my biggest influences.
VA7KSP Very powerful post and thank you much, love my compatriot Mr.Cockburn. Have you ever, or would you consider doing another song, Pride of Man by Gordon Lightfoot, a valid, prophetic, poignant offering along the same line as this. Again thanks much!
i had cockburn once., had to put lotion on it. bruce rox though!

Are you saying he played this in concert? If so, I'm envious! I've seen him a few times live and this is one I would have loved to see/hear live.

I have many "favourite" songs by Bruce Cockburn, ironically, this is one of the few he's recorded that he didn't write.
