I want to say thank you. I currently have shared custody of my children, and have them at least 50% of the time. It has been over a year and their mother still does not have a full time job. Why would she when she can keep collecting $600 a month from me for kids that I also have to provide for? The whole system is a travesty. To all of the fathers out there, keep fighting for what you know is right for your children, the tide turns with every father that can prove the stereotypes wrong.
I am currently in your situation, with a few differences in crcumstances. The Colorado courts who should have given my daughter to me took her away from my entire family and gave her to non-blood related by marriage only relative and have stopped me at every juncture.Draining me and my parents of our finances. Mark you are an inspiration to the rest of us. Many fathers are giving up and chosing to end their lives in defeat. May God bless you and we will keep you in our prayers.
Where there is life, there is hope. Parents must understood their rights, well-established in federal case law. Knowledge is power. Parents who take their own life, take part of their children's life with them. When those kids grow up and want to know their parents, and find out they are dead, how tragic that is. Never give up. Read my website: ExiledFathers and follow the link to "The Constitutional Right To Be A Parent." The law is with us but judges violate it.
Connecticut's recent hearings were in front of mostly, if not all, democrats. See: Connecticut Network (CT-N): Joint Legislative Investigative Hearing on the Dept. of Children and Families - Day 4 Public Testimony
I see none of those liberal's clapped for you I live in new york also and it sucks here we need to do more we need help really bad.I wanted my daughter evevy other week and was told no and I'am not and unfit father she is better off with me Cause her mother likes to have sex in front of her and of course CPS finds it unfounded.Help us in new york please
Mark, my heart goes out to you. We can not stop fighting for our children. I agree with all legal changes you requested.
I reside in New York State. In our lovely courts, judges CAN NOT order shared custody. But then again, NYS a liberal state with Democratic politicians living off donations from trial attorneys thriving on conflict and extremist feminist groups. So, who has time to worry about children's broken hearts and suffering fathers.
