  • I remember seeing this on the headbangers ball with riki ratchman doing the intro...if anyone has that episode please let me know...thanks toddio

  • This is where youtube to mp3 comes in real handy...lol

  • I remember seeing these guys (and meeting Geoff Tyson, who was dating someone I knew, herself a singer from another local outfit, VOS) at One Step Beyond quite some time ago. He was a nice guy, and they were pretty damn good live. I still have a signed T-Ride cassette booklet somewhere.

  • T-Ride is also available for listening on GROOVESHARK

  • T-Ride was different from the aforementioned bands. They actually had the musicianship, the vocal harmonies, and nods to experiment with sound, genre bending and production. The album was ahead of its time and didn't fit the mold of what was being currently played. I even knew back when I bought it that T-Ride was going to be a just cult band. Believe me I was rooting for them to break big, tried to introduced them to friends, all to no avail. Then they just fell off the map.

  • In know the general public opinion was that grunge killed glam rock and hair bands and this fell victim because of it. But I must ask a question? Would this have really fit in and sold well prior to grunge? Does this sound like Unskinny Bop, Cherry Pie, ect? That kind of shit (Poison, Warrant) was bombarded on FM radio and MTV. Anybody my age (36) will remember how omnipresent glam was in 1990.

  • I think the inability to understand WTF Dan Arlie is singing is a big part of what killed them off. Sure, they're all incredible musicians, but it's near impossible to sing along to these songs.

  • These guys are what should have been metal's answer to Queen.

  • what the theck is he singing?

All i hear is "ZBADABADABZABAPP-IAAAAH!!" followed by "Zombies from hell".

  • @rubyscorner haha

  • met these guys at a listening party in cleveland oh.guitarist was cool as hell.i think the similarity in song title to cowboys from hell hurt bigtime, and dont 4get grunge

  • I am really enjoying seeing this stuff. I use to listen to this band when it first came out and I never did get to see what they looked like. In some ways it was better not knowing.

I am really laughing at the comments as I click on each song from this band because it always did feel like no one knew of this band.

  • this is the most unique band i have ever heard. they are a genre unto themselves. and the compositional level is extremely advanced. this is the antithesis to something like the elementary beginner crap of today such as breaking benjamin or linkin park. this is real musical maturity and talent at its finest.

  • Zombies are so scary, and hell is even scarier. Putting them together in one video is irresponsible. This is so intense that it is literally dangerous!

  • I found the CD at a used record store in Colorado? Think my cassette dubbed at HOS is still floating around somewhere......

  • I used to wonder how such a great band didn't go on to be Huge.....TWO WORDS:

    Hollywood Records

  • @chuckinator13 Outside of the clubs, dynamically I thought their music didn't transfer real well. I saw them at a 300 seat bar and also as warm up for Satriani in the 90's... the Satch show was rather meh.

  • @charvelguy I was privy to the making of this album and was floored when I heard it,

on a cassette tape......way beyond...greatness....I've never seen a bad Satriani show and I've seen dozens....sounds better than most guitarists just tuning up. A true MASTER.

  • @chuckinator13 I should have written that a little better.

Satch was great live and has been that way every time I've seen him too.

T-Ride's performance transfered better in a small club than a larger venue.

Could have even been a mix thing or just a wrap of a tour type of night.

I've had a similar experience with Frank Marino once and I totally dig Frank.

This album was and always will be ahead of its time. One of my favs.

  • This CD is hard as hell to find!

  • @ChronicXWND u can find it in amazon...

  • shredjoe1 is tottaly right

  • T-ride were the most original band to happen in the whole shred era - they got none of the success they deserved. Listen to this for a debut; I'd love to hear what else they could have come up with... awesome still original and fresh 20 years on

    don't agree?

who's to compare with these days? Listen to Geoff Tyson's guitar playing the guy's awesome!!

  • I first heard this song on some metal radio show in the mid 90s and immediately bought the cassette. I was pretty glad to see the album got a CD reissue some years back. I always think of this song right around Halloween when it comes time to make a horror mix.

  • They were fkin great, the most completely underrated band ever.

  • I can't tell if Steve Ouimette is playing on this track or not.

    Good song though.

  • most likely valentine.

  • I saw these guys live at the Roxy... I got their LP from a friend and immediately needed more... I could not believe the three piece pull off that sound live. Blew my socks off!!!

  • \m/ rocker \m/

  • Amazing Band. Justt awesome musicians... too bad they did not succeed as they deserved.

Incredible good "noise" that three guys can make ;)

    One of my favorite bands

  • My old band opened for them and White Zombie back in '93. Very cool guys. It's a shame more people never got into them. They were great!!

  • saw these guys open for satriani back in 92. fucking awesome live backing vocals were perfect

  • This is the band that musicians listen to when they want to hear good music...

  • i agree

  • The definitely rock. However, too unconventional to really make it. They had "different" lyric content and the singer was a bit hard to understand at times. That said, the playing was top notch and the harmonies were like Queen.

  • t-ride isnt a person...the band is named after the place telluride and consists of three unrelated members...geoff tyson..dan arlie..and eric valentine so can i ask how you are related to a band :S

  • That is THE best description of T-Ride I've ever heard... The best band no one has ever heard of! They were amazing for their time... or ANY other time for that matter! Anyone know if this was EVER released on CD?

  • Yes I have the T-Ride CD so its been published and is available.

  • @mvalente

I believe this CD is out of print...no longer available unless used.

  • This guys could have been metal's answer to Queen.

  • I can burn you some mp3's if you want.

  • @jeffengee2000

    Hollywood records was their label.

  • This is the best band in the world that no-one has heard of.

I don't think I've heard a CD with better production to this day.

  • Totally agree. When I first heard these guys last year I was like "Where the hell have I been and why doesn't everybody know about T-Ride" I am completely blown away every time I listen to their album and still can't believe there's only one.

  • Satriani! I sit corrected.

  • Valentine is a natural at figuring out techniques in recording. The three piece blew everyone in the biz away.. the full sound they have is incomperable for such a small group, the vocal harmonies are dizzying! I dated Jeff, and sitting there listening to them warm up was so priceless. If it wasn't for the grunge movement this band would have been unstoppable.

It was simply a case of horrible timing.

  • I agree totally, this band smoked, I've had their only album since it was released, and was horribly disappointed they didn't hang in there for more.

  • Jeff was the star pupil of Joe Satriani (proclaimed so by Satch)&this was the last band signed by Bill Graham before he passed.

  • Loved this album - Surperb production all around! Cool breakdown on this song. Steve Vai helped these guys out, yes? Glad I got to see them live. Wishes a second album was made. Thanks for sharing, mvalente!

  • Thanks for sharing this. This band was way ahead of its time. NO ONE sounded like this when this album came out. If this album came out 10 years later it probably would have been big.

  • I remember being blown away by the production the first time I heard

this. I also have the CD but never saw the video. Thanks for posting this!

  • Thanks you, mvalente, for sharing this! Excellent song. Have the CD but never seen the video.
